To ask you to tell me how old I look?

I was insulted today and told I look much older than I am. Could I ask you to tell me how old you think?

Late 50's.

I'm 52 with a slim face and would say you look about my age or perhaps slightly older? Sorry not read full thread. I think often people look totally different in photos anyway.

This has got to be the worst thread I've had the misfortune to read on Mumsnet

I agree. A load of highly filtered pictures with people asking how old they look in them. I really don't see the point.

Thankyou crazy. I do have good skin, as do my sisters and as did my mam. It's part genetics, part man drilling into us about good skincare- SPF everytime!

I have all boys and have drilled into the 2 teenagers about skincare.

My OH says my hair makes me look youthful. I've always had short hair so it gets cut every 6 weeks, maybe it's that regular upkeep that makes a difference.

You're right about the tan. Scarily, lots of the younger woman in work use sunbeds- I've no idea why it's had another upsurge.

You want people to tell your age, but post filtered photos. Looked at your second photo, you look like my 64 + colleagues. That would be my guess. Why do you ask?..

A bit older in the face for 64+ but the fringe is probably hiding it. Guess a lot of tanning and smoking and it tells. Noone cares though.

Sorry OP, I'm 42 too and I thought you were 50-60. But it wasn't an accurate pic due to the filters. I'm guessing you're a smoker,?

I am the same age as you op but probably look mid 30s.
I too am a smoker :-((.
However, I have a facial every 4 weeks and use Tropics skincare range.
I am slightly overweight which probably helps, but I do run a lot.
To me always moisturising since a teenager is the key to my youthful looking skin.
