Kissing dogs!

Am I alone? I sometimes give my dog a quick kiss between the eyes. Am I wrong?

We don't have kids. She's our baby substitute.

Just don't let him kiss you back - dogs do you that lucking-your-face thing (if you let them) to stimulate you regurgitating food for them, not as a sign of affection

My dogs don't have bad breath, they have a healthy diet and perfect teeth. Just like people, bad diet and poor dental hygiene causes bad breath.

Only on her head, I don't go near her nose 😷 I know where it's been!

She gets kisses and ear tickles ALL DAY

When we had our pup he was a little swine who constantly poked his snout through the crate bars rubbing. Consequently he had a slight bald spot there, right between the eyes. This was the spot he was always kissed on and became known as his 'kissy bit'.

That’s a new one. Licking is pleasurable for dogs and releases endorphins, hence why it’s regarded as affectionate.
People thinking it’s horrible maybe have a think about what you put in your mouth 😉

I kiss my dog all the time! And I tell her she’s gorgeous. She’s so cuddly and loving and I can’t resist giving her a hug and kisses on her head. She also puts her front paws on my shoulders and hugs me back. @Itsallgonewoowoo I totally agree about sniffing her paws, heaven!

@JKScot4 not really new - it's what puppies do to their mothers to stimulate the regurgitation reflex.

General licking is endorphins and affection - licking round the mouth isn't!

Hoppinggreen, I do exactly the same thing! My boy is the most handsomest dog in the world (in my eyes!) and I tell him so before planting a kiss on the top of his head.

I love kissing my DLabs and also kissing my horses velvet nose and snuggling into her neck and breathing in her smell.

I also love smelling DLabs feet!!
