She may not have left PH but her going back to Canada is sending a very strong message to the RF and Also PH that this is a done deal and the better work with it . She is not coming back as the Americans would say ‘period’

Maybe you're right though and she really doesn't want to be in it but is being coerced by a financially abusive husband into accepting £5 million a year from his family. Money which incidentally wouldn't be available to any of them if they weren't royalty.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to them actually stepping away from it all since they've said that's their priority. By that I mean I'll applaud them when they give up their titles, pay for their own security, refuse the £5 million a year income they're getting, move out of Frogmore and give back the £2.4 million of our money they spent doing it up.

I don't think we should have a monarchy anyway because I'm not into inherited wealth and power. But given that we do have one, it's taking the piss to expect all of the wealth and power that goes with it while saying that you're not part of it. They're either in or they're out.
