I'll start, mine are:

"Boys will be boys"

"Think outside the box"

"Blue sky thinking" this makes my blood boil when someone says it at work.

2020bluegirl · 12/01/2020 00:04

'Why did you have children with this man?'

Thurmanmurman · 12/01/2020 00:17

People who say "I'm like marmite, you either love me or hate me". You can guarantee I fucking hate you!

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 12/01/2020 00:28

"Do better" usually with a 👏🏼 emoji.

Fuck off.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 12/01/2020 00:31

"You're as bad as each other". I have honestly only ever heard it said when it's crystal clear that one of the two having conflict is actually being a total arse.

Misseuropadiscodancer · 12/01/2020 00:39

Nom nom nom

Bleurgh Envy

Clevererthanyou · 12/01/2020 00:42

What the fuck is low hanging fruit? I’ve never heard it used before.

BloggersBlog · 12/01/2020 00:42

Oh yes a PP said a good one 'all the trimmings!' you mean this time with Brussels and pigs in blankets too

Say it/ walk by/ send a text 'breezily' Angry

tillytubby · 12/01/2020 00:47

'I have no words'
Usually accompanied by lots of words on the subject. Makes me cross as I feel it's like the generic response to bad news.

AmelieTaylor · 12/01/2020 00:49

Some of these I use

Some if these irritate me a bit

But the one that has my Blood pressure raised instantly is ‘chilax’

I don’t really know why, but it realky does!

canijustaskonemorething · 12/01/2020 00:52

Living my best life

People who refer to their female friends as “gal
Dem”

CBsDad · 12/01/2020 00:57

Anything with the word 'cheeky' in it.

Someone at work invited everyone out for drinks then a 'cheeky wiggle' Angry

bananajelly · 12/01/2020 00:58

"Made with love" on newborn baby clothes 🤢 Literally makes me want to vomit.

Darkstar4855 · 12/01/2020 01:51

“Fast forward” which seems to be used all the time on Mumsnet.

“Fast forward ten years...”

Surely it’s easier just to write “ten years later...”?

Durgasarrow · 12/01/2020 02:05

"it costs you nothing"

MrsFezziwig · 12/01/2020 02:11

Baby wearing.

Knock yourself out.

We are pregnant (I’m taking it you never did GCSE Biology).

Plus about a million others already mentioned upthread.

Ohtherewearethen · 12/01/2020 05:36

"No is a complete sentence". It really isn't.

Joloh · 12/01/2020 06:03

Blazing fast. EVERY fucking thing, from a random npm module to a whole new programming language is BLAZING FAST. Not only are they are blazing fast, they are ALL, somehow, faster than each other.

...this may be a niche peeve

MitziK · 12/01/2020 06:14

'I'm sorry that you feel that way'.

No, you fucking don't. You don't give a shiny fucking shit about the other person's hurt/feelings/disappointment/distress caused by your behaviour. If you did, you'd say 'I'm sorry that I hurt/disappointed/upset you, I was an idiot/selfish/mean/cruel/unreasonable/behaved appallingly towards you', rather than make out that they're in the wrong for being unhappy/that you don't regret your behaviour in the slightest.

plantmum · 12/01/2020 06:25

'The point being'

'Can you not just....[insert apparently obvious yet ignorant suggestion]'

'She turned around and said...'
