To ask what your must see movies or short series are on netflix/sky right now

I have a single day home tomorrow to myself without DH or DC, 39 weeks pregnant and having c section on Wednesday. I intend to do nothing but watch movies and eat all the food (before I have to fast 😔) I need GUARANTEED switch-off time. No special genre, just not subtitled as I will fall asleep 😂

I have approximately 8 hours minus a million trips for a wee...

The mist was really good. I binge watched that in 2 days.

I just finished Le Bazar de la Charité which is a French Netflix original. I know it is on U.K. Netflix but my SIL (lives in U.K.) said it is called Bonfire of Destiny with English subtitles.
It is a miniseries and I enjoyed it very much. After a devastating fire in 1897 Paris, three women see their destinies turned upside down by forbidden love, identity theft, betrayal and emancipation.

We just finished Bonfire of Destiny and also the Witcher. Now watching The Haunting of Hill House.

Lost in space on Netflix. Or the marvellous Mrs Maisel, amazing comedy and well worth the watch.

The Witcher was ok. And Cardinal Row.
I would line up things for post-section recovery too though OP.

Have you seen Derry Girls? Season 1 is on Netflix and it is so funny. Season 2 might be on Channel 4 catch up.

Virgin river only has one season out now and I enjoyed it. I think it’s only 8 episodes

Upright on Sky is amazing. Chernobyl too as said upthread but if you don't know what to expect it could be depressing. That said I watched Das Boot and Threads when I was overdue on DS so can't really comment on depressing viewing..

Oh and a simple favour which is a quirky but trashy film. I enjoyed it

We've been watching The Mandalorian which is also very good (although not sure if it's on Netflix).

Alternatively, try Black Mirror. There are quite a few episodes but they don't really link into one another.

Or go old school and watch Sherlock.
The first series is 4 episodes about 90 minutes each (so a little over your time quota but good fun).
