I have a single day home tomorrow to myself without DH or DC, 39 weeks pregnant and having c section on Wednesday. I intend to do nothing but watch movies and eat all the food (before I have to fast 😔) I need GUARANTEED switch-off time. No special genre, just not subtitled as I will fall asleep 😂

Unbelievable is gripping. Very good.

If you want a feel good warm fuzzy then I always recommend people Pick Of The Litter on Netflix. It’s a documentary about a litter of puppies born to be guide dogs. It’s bloody lovely.

I love a good crime documentary or drama so my recommendations are leaning to the sinister side. I’ve really enjoyed The Keepers, The Killing, 7 Seconds, Criminal UK, Happy Valley, The People VS OJ Simpson, The Assassination Of Gianni Versace, Mindhunter, Hinterland and Don’t F**k With Cats.

"Safe" on Netflix it's the best thing I've watched on there recently

LadyGAgain · 06/01/2020 18:17

Messiah.
It's a long time since I binge watched. Started last night. On episode 9. And have had both kids today and been out all day Grin.
Loving it. And him if I'm honest.

SemperIdem · 06/01/2020 18:22

Virgin River on Netflix is a (largely) feel good delight.

hoxtonbabe · 06/01/2020 18:48

Just finished Mrs Masiel on Amazon. Think I’m going to watch the Witcher next.

RhymingRabbit3 · 06/01/2020 19:08

I definitely would not recommend Black Mirror if you want to "switch off". Many of the episodes are very dark!

Likethebattle · 06/01/2020 19:14

Chernobyl is not for the faint hearted I had to stop watching. A simple favour is quite good, You, watch full series of Messiah on Saturday.

Gobbolino7825 · 06/01/2020 19:14

'Don't f**k with cats' - brilliant Netflix documentary - true gripping story

FAQs · 07/01/2020 13:06

Chernobyl was good, inspired me to buy the book inspired by the series, it’s dark but then so is disasters and the resulting aftermath, some of the survivors stories are extraordinary, not sure what else people thought it would be?

LaurieMarlow · 07/01/2020 13:32

If you're looking for something light but entertaining A Simple Favour fits the bill totally.

Ponoka7 · 07/01/2020 13:38

Nightcrawler is a brilliant film. It isn't a horror, it's a drama and Jake Gyllenhaal, is as good in it as he always is.

shas19 · 07/01/2020 13:39

The Act on Amazon, so good and it's a true story.
You, Bates motel, the sinner, hannibal

Vodkasquirts · 07/01/2020 13:39

The Schitts light - hearted funny comedy when a Hollywood Family lose there fortune and end up living in a Motel at the back end of beyond, totally skint

Funny as f**

BlooperReel · 07/01/2020 13:41

Criminal United Kingdom (I am about to start the Spain one)
The Haunting of Hill House
Luther is on Netflix if you've not watched it yet
Stranger Things

shas19 · 07/01/2020 13:41

Also safe and dont f**k with cats!

hellsbellsmelons · 07/01/2020 13:55

Unbelievable was really good as others have said.
I really like Dead to Me as well.

DarlingCoffee · 07/01/2020 14:11

You, Bad Moms, After, Wine Country - all easy to watch and binge on!

BloggersNetwork · 07/01/2020 14:19

Mindless amusing entertainment, Schitt's Creek. So good!!

Notimefor · 07/01/2020 17:20

Longshot

FenellaVelour · 07/01/2020 17:40

Upright is brilliant. Good choice.

Namechange2306 · 07/01/2020 17:42

You on Netflix

sleepwhenidie · 07/01/2020 17:45

Oh Schitts Creek is so great. Bit of a slow burn but love all of the characters. Really enjoyed Derry Girls too.

Succession is just brilliant (2 seasons, 10 episodes) - again, bit slow to start but by ep 3 you will be gripped.

Baconking · 07/01/2020 17:56

Definitely You on Netflix I was gripped!

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 07/01/2020 18:00

I watched all 5 seasons of Schitts Creek over the two week Christmas holidays 🙈 it was easy watching and really funny. I also binge watched Derry Girls last night and this morning

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/01/2020 18:03

Messiah.
