So blessed, date night, Love my man so much (no one belongs to anyone else unless you gave birth to them and even then they could fuck off and ditch you), feeling joyful, feeling thankful - the list goes on - what are yours?

OP posts:
Rosspoldarkssaddle · 05/01/2020 01:53

So blessed
Mum of girls

So pissed off right now
You know who you are
Mess with my family, you.mess with me
Are there any hairdressers/estate agents/charity shops around here (that's what google is for)?
What time does Tesco close?
Is Tesco open?

Dandelion1993 · 05/01/2020 03:00

Saw one today the annoyed me.

When girls show off their about their car (most common) or anything else by hovering their hand in front saying "nails done, looking fab". We all know the post has nothing to do about your nails.

AlliKaneErikson · 05/01/2020 03:14

‘Making memories...’ - grrr!
And selfies with filters so bad they are unrecognisable!

Minesril · 05/01/2020 07:43

Timehop photos. That photo of your child was annoying five years ago. They are now a teenager. Stop embarrassing them!

Hotcuppatea · 05/01/2020 07:50

Posts written to young children gushing about how proud they are of them for their KS2 sats results/music exam results/school award/etc when the children aren't on Facebook. Stealth boasting and attention seeking at it's most annoying.

FrangipaniBlue · 05/01/2020 08:14

I've apparently unfollowed/unfriended too many annoying posters in my annual cull - got up this morning and my ENTIRE FEED is just adverts Confused

brummiesue · 05/01/2020 08:43

Desperate posts hinting at a proposal/babies from their partner, checking into wedding/parent fairs etc. I have a friend who is constantly doing thisHmm

Bluejeantreefrog · 05/01/2020 08:44

'Happy birthday in heaven to great uncle Cedric 176 today'

Lexplorer · 05/01/2020 08:55

Saw a robin today.

Cue lots of replies about dead relatives looking out for them

sawyersfishbiscuits · 05/01/2020 09:22

My friend hardly ever posts on FB but when she does it's a stealth boast...

She's giving away a tv and then in the comments says she's getting Smart TV...

She's asking for recommendations for hotels somewhere cool.

She's shocked that her husband has bought a fancy pants car...

Never comments on anything just pops these little gems out to tell us.

ChilliandLemon · 05/01/2020 09:32

On local fb groups. ‘Where can I buy A4 paper? Looking for recommendations.’

You know, shops.

Echobelly · 05/01/2020 09:37

'I'm entering the new year without resentment and a heart full of love' etc type posts which always come over as a massive passive aggressive go at someone and a clear indication that the poster is boiling with resentment and anger about something. None of my close friends do this, so I never have the faintest idea what these posts are about!

AngelsSins · 05/01/2020 10:20

Oh OP, my brother and his girlfriend post that exact shite all the time! In reality he cheats on her constantly, is controlling and constantly talks about leaving her.

TinselTitsMcTree · 05/01/2020 10:35

hotcuppatea Yes! Those too. If you're proud of your child for something specific like that, say it to them. I mean they'd most likely prefer that to you writing to them via a medium they don't have access to Hmm

Also, know it's a generation thing but young people posting endless filtered selfies and everyone commenting "look at you" "🔥" etc. It's all so fake and vain.

PhilSwagielka · 05/01/2020 10:53

What @Caribbeanescape said, and with cancer too. I hate that guilt tripping shit. I'm well aware of cancer, thanks, it's why I don't have a dad, and my brother had it a few years ago too. Posting on Facebook won't do shit. You want to help people with cancer, do Race for Life or something.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 05/01/2020 10:54

People creating Facebook accounts for their pets! Hmm

TheReluctantCountess · 05/01/2020 11:16

Duck face pouting in pictures. Why?

pollysproggle · 05/01/2020 11:21

Anything from my friend from the last 3 years banging on about her daughter being premature. Every pic has the hashtag #mypremmiracle

Now premature babies definitely don't annoy me but her daughter was born at 8lbs 13oz at 36+6 with no complications whatsoever from a premature birth so it gets my grate a bit.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 05/01/2020 11:26

36+6?!? Babies are considered term from 37 weeks so her baby was 1 day before that. Hmm

PitterPatterOfBigFeet · 05/01/2020 11:33

@pollysproggle

Oh my god that's pushing it. In Germany babies are considered full term from 36 weeks so she wouldn't even meet the criteria!

pollysproggle · 05/01/2020 11:35

Yes so she was technically premature but my god, stop already!

BiBiBirdie · 05/01/2020 11:37

Those bloody statuses that sound really serious. Then, when you've commented, they send a fucking private message telling you that by commenting you now have to post some bollocks yourself. But they always guilt you that it's for cancer awareness or something else.

Like writing a bullshit status and worrying people into commenting is going to have cancer do one.

Someone pulled it on a mate over Christmas who is currently having treatment for an aggressive cancer and we universally fucked them from our friendship group for being so moronic.

BiBiBirdie · 05/01/2020 11:40

@pollysproggle Jesus. At 8lb 13, that was bigger than my DD and they had to force her to leave at 41 weeks. Sure she hadn't lied about her dates?
My DS was genuinely prem at 28 weeks, and 3lb 6, however, it's not something we ever really mention anymore.

Sweetbabycheezits · 05/01/2020 11:54

This thread is making me want to get rid of fb...again! I deactivate every couple of months, just for a mental break. I am not from the UK, so fb has been a nice way to stay connected to friends back in my home country, but all of the pp above are what drives me crazy.
If you don't live in your home country, and you don't have fb, do you still find it easy to stay connected?

bananaskinsnomnom · 05/01/2020 12:29

There’s one that’s going through my FB feed at the Moment:

” There have been times I'd put just £10 worth of fuel in my tank, while other times £50. I've had just £5 to feed myself and I've also had £200 to go out to eat. I’ve had a cupboard full of food and other times they were empty. I’ve been in shops spending with no worries and I’ve also had to add it up and put things back on the shelf. I’ve paid my bills in full and other times had to pay late. I’ve given money and I too have had to ask for it.....”

Of course it goes on about how possessions aren’t what’s important and you never know what life is like for someone else etc....
There’s 3 people I know who keep posting this and it drives me cuckoo. 2 of them are still teenagers who live at home and have no responsibility for bills at all besides mobile phone and one has a car, but somehow has enough money for personalised number plates and designer clothes despite this “hard times” post (her family are bloody rich)
The third who keeps doing it again lives at home but is in her 20s and likewise I know only has to pay for her car and I know her salary and they are definately not on the poverty line either. It just drives me mad, all these copy paste posts in general, acting like the high and mighty when (in this instance) there’s always enough for holidays and new cars and fashionable clothes I could only dream of and then this gets posted.....
