It's 6.30pm NYE and in my pyjamas

Yes I've dressed for dinner in my new pyjamas. I've been wanting to get in them all day (saddo) somehow all the years I was single or with boyfriends making myself go out and forced enjoyment I'm doing now exactly as I want.
I might be really crazy and stay up until 9pm Grin

Just put my pjs on too!

Whatsername177 · 31/12/2019 19:20

Can I just also say, I am freaking proud of myself for not having succumbed to the pressure to go along to DH's sisters thing. Usually, I'd go, despite feeling crap, drive so dh could drink, deal with the over tired tantrums from dd2 (who is almost 3) have a shit time and wish I'd stayed home. This time, I am thoroughly pleasing myself. Despite dh's 'I'm not really feeling it now you wont be there...' comment. Which is actually dh speak for 'I'm sad I lost my designated driver'. Cheers to all the fellow pj wearing mums and a happy new year to us all!Crown Grin

SecretWitch · 31/12/2019 19:21

Isn’t it lovely to be home all cosy? I’m in pj’s, hair up and fire on.

Iwantacookie · 31/12/2019 19:21

I've just tidied up after dinner and now have my pjs on. Fireworks have already started and one cat isn't happy.

Amys136 · 31/12/2019 19:22

I had a bath about 3 then put my PJs on. In by myself with the baby tonight. I’m debating if it’s worth going to bed before midnight. Surely the fireworks will either wake me or the baby up?

Wynston · 31/12/2019 19:22

Pjs on.......snowball in hand.....playing pie face with dc.......wouldn't have it any other way!

BarefootHippieChick · 31/12/2019 19:22

Good for you whatsername Happy new year!

Napssavelives · 31/12/2019 19:22

Been in mine since 12. Got up and showered , went out then came home and put pjs back out.

iWantToBreakBrie · 31/12/2019 19:24

PJs all round here!

Rachelfromfriends1 · 31/12/2019 19:25

To be honest I think being able to comfortably stay at home on NYE is a luxury!

There’s so many people that can’t, whether thats because they have work or even if there’s an awkward atmosphere at home (think houseshares or fall outs etc).

I’m in my early 20s and there’s definitely pressure to do “something” for NYE!

kinsss · 31/12/2019 19:26

@BarefootHippieChick

Aw that is no nice of you to say that. Thank you.

Treaclepie19 · 31/12/2019 19:26

We had plans for a takeaway and champagne but I've had an upset stomach and our rabbit had to be put to sleep today so we are not in the partying mood.
Bedtime soon!

Vilanelle · 31/12/2019 19:26

I'm lying on sofa with dog, do, ice cream and Only Fools and Horses. Lush

SabineUndine · 31/12/2019 19:26

Slumped on the sofa with a glass of wine and the telly. NYE doesn't get any better than this.

theflushedzebra · 31/12/2019 19:29

Sounds awesome Wine

We're not going out either. We've had years of parties/pubs/going into London for NYE - I'm so over that now Grin We'll see the new year in with the DC and quaff prosecco, in front of the telly. I may well get my PJs on soon... Happy New Year Wine

JigsawsAreInPieces · 31/12/2019 19:30

We’re out at friends tonight, but when I went up to change, my bed has never looked so tempting as it did then! I felt like jumping in and just snuggling down until next year!

XXXXXX42 · 31/12/2019 19:32

In bed with DD in pjs watching TV. Very happy 😁

24hourshomeedderandcarer · 31/12/2019 19:32

i got in my new harry potter ones at 12.30

got up 11ish had a bath then put on new ones

new year dont mean much to us really,we are a teetotal house hold anyway and carers so new year, christmas when ever the boys still need 24 care
at the mo we are eating goodies with the heating on full watching still game new year episode, then on to ghost-busters 1 and 2 and planing on playing a new type of monopoly

you wont be alone thousands wont be out

DanielRicciardosSmile · 31/12/2019 19:32

I've got my pyjamas on too. We're having Tesco party food (the 3 for 2 stuff) and a bottle of red later, might go wild and open a bottle of cava too. All in front of the telly. If we see midnight it'll be the first time in about 10 years.

cherryblossomgin · 31/12/2019 19:33

I have an late finish and early start so I am going straight to bed when I get home. I also have my Christmas pjs waiting. I never celebrate new year.

TellySavalashairbrush · 31/12/2019 19:33

Got in from work and the gym, had a bath and now in pyjamas with a cuppa. Dd (22) is getting ready for a big night out and I honestly don’t envy her in the least. Hope to be asleep by 10.

MsChnandlerBong · 31/12/2019 19:34

I'm in mine, drinking wine, chinese takeaway en route. Will possibly see midnight, will possibly be drunk by 10pm. That'll do me Wine

serialnc · 31/12/2019 19:35

Have been in mine most the day apart from trip to Sainsbury's to grab a couple of bottles of wine. I'm now pleasantly tipsy and am binge watching Netflix.

Enjoy OP and your not a saddo!

GreyHare · 31/12/2019 19:36

I'll join you, in Jammies under a blanket on the sofa full of cold with my snuggly cat curled up on my lap, I hated the years when I went out, NYE it was always a big disappointment, home with the telly, husband, dogs and kitty's is perfection for me.

furrybadger · 31/12/2019 19:36

Been out for a few drinks this afternoon, just got home pjs on and Chinese ordered, now to sit on the sofa and relax for the rest of the night 🥰
