When do you fit in your pelvic floor exercises?

I have a whole exercise plan to do, takes about 10mins. Over the years I've tried fitting it in in the morning (school run makes this impossible), before bed (CBA) when do you fit yours in? Making this one of my NYRs.

Also a reminder to you all to do yours too Crown Smile

On the tube on my way to work. When I remember!

Dreamersandwishers · 30/12/2019 19:41

Right now on the sofa. Thanks for the reminder 😁

Tobebythesea · 30/12/2019 19:46

When stuck at traffic lights.

bumblenbean · 30/12/2019 19:47

The only time I usually remember is in bed ... normally fall asleep halfway through 🤦🏼‍♀️

ffswhatnext · 30/12/2019 19:52

I really think I must be doing them wrong when I see posts like this.
I don't schedule them in, or make specific times for them. I go about my day just doing them. Laying in bed, cooking dinner, shopping, eating, walking, fucking etc.

lljkk · 30/12/2019 19:54

Waiting in queues

GardenersDelight · 30/12/2019 20:08

Put a reminder on your phone or download an app

honeyloops · 30/12/2019 20:23

Same as @ffswhatnext - just... as I go along! I'm not following a training plan though (just living in fear thanks to my mother), is this a medical thing that a doctor has told you to follow?

ffswhatnext · 30/12/2019 20:28

I do still 🤣 at remembering my mum saying along the lines of -pelvic floor exercises, I'd never get up off the floor 🤣

LucyAutumn · 30/12/2019 20:30

Another one for the tube!

BlueSuffragette · 30/12/2019 20:33

From what I remember I did mine watching tv, lay in bed or whilst sat on the toilet. Everytime I went for a wee I tried to stop mid flow. Lol.

TinchyBaby · 30/12/2019 20:33

Do you have to do them forever?

SpoonBlender · 30/12/2019 20:36

Any time I'm sat down and remember. Clench! And relax. Clench!

Unless you have like hip pushes or something to do as well?

powershowerforanhour · 30/12/2019 20:38

Pelvic floor exercises are like the reverse of thinking about The Game. Every time something reminds me, like this thread's title, I start clenching.
I refuse to download the Squeezy app for the same reason that I don't use the timer on the cooker.

Dieu · 30/12/2019 20:43

I always forget. And that's not good.

user1471592953 · 30/12/2019 20:43

I do it before bed: turn on my podcast of choice and squeeze away!

Bluebell878275 · 30/12/2019 20:44

While driving, at my desk, and having sex

MrsIH · 30/12/2019 20:46

Sat down - while waiting for my baby to fall asleep

Stood up - while brushing my teeth

Laid down - in bed before going to sleep (although I don’t actually do this yet!) it’ll be my resolution!

44PumpLane · 30/12/2019 20:47

I didn't realise so many people just generally did pelvic floor exercises!!! What an education.

icantfind · 30/12/2019 20:47

When brushing my teeth. Guarantees twice a day for 2 mins! Midwife suggested it

RitaMills · 30/12/2019 20:49

I have my Kegel8 in at the moment while lying in bed watching tv.

I try for most nights but don’t always remember.

ColaFreezePop · 30/12/2019 20:50

@TinchyBaby yes.

I have done them since I was about 17 in various exercise classes and training for sports. I only have one child.

Both men and women should do them as it helps with urinary incontinence and sex.

piercedmyfootonaspike · 30/12/2019 20:50

When the squeezy app tells me to! I can never remember and its just not something I could do while going about my daily life as I think I make a weird concentrating face when doing them. I would get very strange looks if I tried to do it on the tube, may get a few more seat offers though....

ExtraneousDetail · 30/12/2019 21:17

I’m 60, had 2 DC’s and didn’t do any pelvic floor exercises because I didn’t have any problems 🙄
However, after going through the menopause I now do have problems ☹️
Keep doing your exercises ladies.

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 30/12/2019 21:33

Where did you get the exercise plan?
