Unless she's disabled or has MH issues, I can't see why.

I should have gone to bed but am still up.

Just thinking, I wonder of Canada is like America with sorority house mothers? These seem to be jobs given to adult single women who manage the dorm house, make sure meals are prepared etc but also mentor the ‘girls’. It’s al, a bit 1950s and thank god we have nothing similar here, but maybe if you are used to this system a nanny isn’t so alien? (Clutching at straws😂)

love I'm imagining them turning up at the bar and dragging their mindee home for some vegan pasta and a kale smoothie whilst all the other students down cider and black, and eat crisps Grin

I feel sorry for the student. Maybe I shouldn’t, and in fact she’s very happy with the situation and not mollycoddled at all. It sounds dismal though.

@ACouchOfOnesOwn true lol imagine her being the only one sober in class and not hung over though lol taking notes and graduating first place etc. I am sure she will be alright lol.

My initial reaction was to be judgemental, but that I remembered that I also didn't do my own grocery shopping, cooking or laundry during the last 2 years of my degree because I lived at home, and my mum did it for me.

It hasn't stopped me from becoming a fully functioning adult later on in life. I'm perfectly able to cook and clean now.

Ds was at boarding school (6th form) with an international student who didn't know how to brush her own hair Confused
These people exist!

There are always a handful of students like this at most universities. Calling them a nanny may not be the best choice of word but the role is the same. I imagine Prince William will have had a similar arrangement.
