Gift bags. They’re just a bit naff aren’t they?

A bit Clinton cards, Facebook, live laugh love.

A gift bag user would have guilty pleasures and definitely not give head.

(Plus they’re bad for the environment of course)

One year I bought loads of Christmas gift bags at a store who was closing down. They lasted years as they pinged ponged between everyone. Plus hate using wrapping paper. Also you can fit more gifts into a
bag instead of wrapping them individually and the recipient wondering how am I going to get these home especially if they have other wrapped presents as well. Whereas a few gift bags are easily carried. I do wrap thepresentsvin tissue paper but surely this can be placed in the recycling

Mumsnut · 30/12/2019 20:23

I keep my gift bags in those huge marbled boxes from Matches Fashion. I am going to have to buy something else from them soon, just to accommodate this year’s gift bag booty

Strictly1972 · 30/12/2019 20:27

I use gift bags (generally reuse where I can). I don’t iron. I’m all about time management where I can 😀

RIBlue · 30/12/2019 20:39

Our family’s gift bags are a bit like the tree decorations, we all compare which ones were originally ‘ours’, reminisce about what we remember receiving in each other’s in previous years etc. Usually a sticker covers the previous recipient but sometimes there’s 6 names crossed out before yours. I love it.

TiffanyTrot · 30/12/2019 20:43

I only have to read the opening to know who the OP is.

Are you STILL being a bit of a tit on MN after all these years? Do you get up extra early to think about the most banal subjects to try and inject humour into? You've failed.

AQuestionForTheMen · 30/12/2019 20:44

@PooWillyBumBum

You totally should. Run the poll that is.

Pinkarsedfly · 30/12/2019 20:44

I use gift bags and I give fucking excellent head.

joell75 · 30/12/2019 20:47

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 30/12/2019 20:48

Who is the op?

Spaceprincess · 30/12/2019 21:51

I'm in the non ironing gift bag section.
I re use them, have no shit B&M wall art and have been told my oral sex technique is excellent.

BackforGood · 30/12/2019 21:54

I've read the full 9 pages, and I'm still confused.

Is anyone able to tell me what the OP means please ?

iwantomountchrispratt · 30/12/2019 22:01

I use them because I can't be fucked to wrap things

iwantomountchrispratt · 30/12/2019 22:02

I also enjoy receiving them so I can pass them on and be lazy for free

ProfessionalBoss · 30/12/2019 22:57

@BackforGood she's just a drunk troll...

Nonnymum · 30/12/2019 23:02

I reuse gift bags several times. So I would say they are better for the environment than wrapping paper

TheWildRumpyPumpus · 30/12/2019 23:15

This is like reading Cod’s posts back in the day, except then people understood what they were getting!

BuntyBonus · 30/12/2019 23:22

Gift bags are useful. I used one to take alcohol to the works Christmas do this year as I was skint. Take a bottle in a gift bag.
it looks like a gift (obviously) and you now have wine of your choice to have with dinner.

SwingingBy · 30/12/2019 23:31

I love getting gift bags because I can reuse them.
I love getting gift bags without my name on the tag because if it's a shit toiletry set I leave it in the bag so I can regift it to someone I don't like, or in next year's secret Santa.
I'm too tight to buy gift wrap or greeting cards, so the more bags I get, the better.
I also hate wrapping stuff up and I don't iron either. If it needs ironing then feel free to get the iron out and get on with it.

BuntyBonus · 30/12/2019 23:31

Also the phrase ‘give head’ reminds me of the Jackie Collins I used to read.

fastliving · 31/12/2019 01:11

To be fair my ex bought & used gift bags only once & was shit at giving head.
I re-use gift bags (not bought by me) & am fantastic at giving head.
So maybe there is something in this?

Bumbelinaaa · 31/12/2019 04:41

Sometimes I buy things from Next and give them to people, in a gift bag.

AlpacaGoodnight · 31/12/2019 09:41

Current husband Grin

Trudij123 · 31/12/2019 17:35

I gift bag. I also definitely give head.... ;)

Trudij123 · 31/12/2019 17:35

But I don’t iron. I’m great at the other two though 😆

FreedomfromPE · 31/12/2019 17:39

I gift with cotton bags none of that paper. You're off the mark about my sex life. But thanks for letting me know if I am handing over a gift the recipient is wondering about my pedilictions. There's an image on my great aunts birthday tomorrow Hmm
