To be so embarrassed

DP and myself were having a small argument on Xmas eve day about how much we had spent on the kids. I accidentally rang the police from my pocket and they came round due to hearing us arguing. They said it was due to them having no response on the phone and believed it to be a DV call.
They came round and took us into seperate room and asked us questions. We all laughed about it in the end but they did say it would have to go to social care as kids involved but the most we would probably get was a phone call. So embarrassed that this has happened.
Worse still, we knew the police officers through work.

Tbh OP sounds like the police didn't believe you or the report sent to HV would have reflected that.

I accidentally rang emergency services once, was driving and phone was in my pocket but must have done with leg movements or something. It was mortifying as I was singing my heart out to Bon Jovi while the woman on the other end was trying to get my attention

@happycamper11 I'd love to know where you got that idea from. The health visitor rang as protocol, she just asked one question then we had a chat about something else. I see her regularly at a group anyway. She knows DP well too.
She's rang as they didn't feel it warranted social care.
The health visiting team are also notified around here of any A&E attendances too. It's just what happens in our locality thankfully.

@BigFatMamaJam it's so easily done isn't it? I've thankfully had my phone fixed now.
I spoke to DPs friend who works on. Police control room as a call handler. He says it happens all the time.

My son has a 'dumb' phone and came to me in tears once with a text from the police saying to phone the number and quote a code to let them know/confirm it was a bum dial, it's easily done from his phone and the woman who I called made it sound very routine (I was mortified)
