AIBU to think that 8 is the only way? Why would you do it any other way!

8 for upper case.
A lower case x is like the curly maths x posted upthread.

Right handed. Educated in SE England in late 80s/early 90s if that makes a difference.

Ds1(15) does 7

Ds2 (13) does 8.

Both right handed and educated at the same school. (Although 3 school years apart)

A left handed 7 and I’m usually weird with writing.

7 for me and 3 DCs. 8 for DH but I’d assume that’s because he’s left handed.
