What would you do if your 25 year old came home with a 61 year old?

I'm talking about Madonna and her "new" toyboy lover. Apparently they have been seeing each other for a year and are planning a future together. AIBU in thinking I would have her arse kicked?

I've a 25 year old DS. If he brought home a woman older than me I'd be quietly appalled, quite honestly. I wouldn't normally dream of interfering in his relationships but in such a case I might not be able to keep my feelings to myself. So in fact not so quietly appalled, probably.

Yes to this. I have a DS25 too and am younger than Madonna by quite a lot. I find it disgusting she goes for such youngsters, To me that age gap they really have nothing in common. She's trying to stave off old age the silly old woman.

I would ask if he had thought it through, because right now Madonna is pretty fit but presumably age will actually catch up with her at some point, but realistically when DS is 25 my opinion won't matter anyway.

I dated a man 38 years older than me for just over a year, I was 19, it was a lovely relationship while it lasted, we broke up on good terms and are still friends, I'm not sure if age would have become an issue once he started looking old and his health started going but it certainly wasn't an issue when we were together.

If my son had a chance to be Madonna's toyboy, I'd be kinda happy for him. He'd experience a lifestyle that is completely out of his world. He's also a fully fledged adult and if he wants to have a fling with a woman of 61 or 21, it's NOT MY BUSINESS. Even if he chose Deidre.

I think it's worse for the children of the older woman, tbh. I would be cringing inside and out if my mum had hooked up with a man younger than me 'for sex' - aaaaaagh.

Leonardo DiCaprio goes lower down in my estimation every time he gets a new girlfriend in her early 20s. In many ways he presents himself as so worldy wise and above the Hollywood machine, but he trades his women like they're hatchbacks with a few too many miles on the clock. He is a parody of himself.

My last husband was 12 years younger, he turned out to be incredibly immature and it didn't end well.I'd prefer a decent intelligent conversation with someone who is my own age with my interests but I don't think Madonna is that concerned about conversation

I wouldn't be happy with my 25 y/o son coming home with 61 y/o Deirdre who works in Greggs, but a 61 y/o multi millionaire superstar who looks much younger, bangs like a shithouse door and a gale, and will no doubt take him around the world on private jets for a few months before she got board with him, I'd say crack on and enjoy the ride. He'll come away from it with some amazing experiences, having met loads of interesting people, maybe a Rolex or 2 and a new Porsche, and perhaps the phone number of a few of her 25 y/o dancers!!

I read the title and thought someone's 21 year old daughter had brought home a 61 year old man. I'd be horrified. In this case I'd think he was after her fame/ money.
