Yes, we know it's the only thing going be worth watching on TV over Xmas but I am sick & tired of the relentless promotion of this on the BBC at the moment.

I literally cannot switch on the radio or TV without hearing or seeing trailers, promos and interviews with the key protagonists.

Please Make It Stop.

Am watching it again now. Fingers is a bit fit, isn't he?

Mrsjayy · 22/12/2019 14:07

Yes he is quite handsom he and a couple of "the lads" were in The History boys with James Corden .

Mrsjayy · 22/12/2019 14:08

Handsome* my favourite lad is Budgie he is hilarious.

TildaTurnip · 22/12/2019 14:17

G & S and This Country are (IMO) two of the best comedy series in recent years. I love them!

I’ve rewatched the previous three series and Christmas special in the run up Grin

Mrsjayy · 22/12/2019 14:25

Not Budgie ,Deano is my favourite

missyB1 · 22/12/2019 14:47

Oh God I turn over every time the trailer comes on! Can’t stand that show, and definitely can’t stand watching James Corden in anything!

Patroclus · 22/12/2019 16:44

Let have an adaption of a Chismtas Carol, has anybody ever thought of doing one? it would be a first

Patroclus · 22/12/2019 17:42

I dont shitting believe it, ive just said that and looked at the tv guide, theres yet another bloody new version of it on tonight.

The80sweregreat · 22/12/2019 18:06

I think that ' a Christmas carol' has been done to death! A new story is needed. I know there have been a few modern twists to the story in the past, but some new stories would also be good to see at Christmas.

NewName73 · 22/12/2019 18:38

I'm quite excited by A Christmas Carol done Peaky Blinders style ... I will be recording it!

Yeah I was joking there, the80s, sorry ha. Im sick to the back teeth of a christmas bastard carol, the muppets is the only good one. I like to read The Signalman at cristmas though, its real scary.

Because of streaming the main channels dont really have so much of the big event programs to make into christmas specials now I think.

greeneyedlulu · 22/12/2019 19:10

Of course it's being heavily promoted, why wouldn't it be? Don't all films/theatre shows/tv programmes etc promote themselves?
And as for those saying they have never watched it, then why the fuck are you even here commenting that you've never watched it when the title is about something you've never watched? Twits!!

yellowallpaper · 22/12/2019 19:52

Never seen G&S and not in the slightest bit interested. It's never appealed to me and yes, but sick of the promos

exWifebeginsAgainat46 · 22/12/2019 20:08

anyone who loved Nighty Night should check out Sally4Ever. be warned though, episode four is a bit of a shocker...

AnyFucker · 22/12/2019 22:26

Where can one see Sally4Ever ?

Doubleraspberry · 22/12/2019 23:33

Also Camping, which was on Now last time I looked. Another Julia Davis vehicle.

beguilingeyes · 23/12/2019 08:35

Bloody love Gavin & Stacey. Can't wait for the special. I wish it was on all the time, like a soap.

I'll miss Doris though

TildaTurnip · 23/12/2019 21:19

Camping and Sally4Ever make it hard to see Dawn as Dawn for me now!

RuffleCrow · 23/12/2019 21:23

Oi, what's occurin'?!

exWifebeginsAgainat46 · 24/12/2019 21:56

Sally4Ever was on a sky channel, as far as i recall. god knows how Julia Davis got most of it aired, it was incredible.

(still slightly convinced that Emma in Sally4Ever is actually Jill Tyrell)
