Yes, we know it's the only thing going be worth watching on TV over Xmas but I am sick & tired of the relentless promotion of this on the BBC at the moment.

I literally cannot switch on the radio or TV without hearing or seeing trailers, promos and interviews with the key protagonists.

Please Make It Stop.

They were on the one show looking excited about it all. You can't sniff at the enthusiasm for it , but the trailer didn't look great.
The one that plays Gavin was horrible about Laura Kuenssberg on Twitter so I guess it might have been a bit awkward going there for the interview as some of the staff must also know Laura etc!

WoodliceInSunderland · 21/12/2019 12:38

I found it a very average sitcom, no idea why there is all the hype Confused

Piglet89 · 21/12/2019 12:44

Can’t understand why one would watch “terrestrial” TV at Christmas when there’s a whole host of other much better quality stuff to choose from on Netflix. Currently slowly making my way through Mad Men.

misspiggy19 · 21/12/2019 12:48

I watched one episode and it was crap

QueenofmyPrinces · 21/12/2019 12:49

I can honestly say I have only seen a trailer twice and both times were the same trailer.

I can’t wait bit only because I love Nessa, Bryn, Gavin’s parents and Smithy.

Every other character annoys me - especially Stacey!!!!

Celebelly · 21/12/2019 12:53

When all's said and done, I'm not going to lie, I'm bloody excited about it Grin

Tutlefru · 21/12/2019 14:05

Larry lamb was on LW the other day saying he thinks it’s the best they’ve done inc the series.

I’m excited. Xmas Grin

ThatssomebadhatHarry · 21/12/2019 14:09

Not seen one bit of promotion for it other than someone shared the trailer on my Facebook feed.

CaptainMyCaptain · 21/12/2019 14:26

I think people who dismissed it after watching one episode are missing something. It grows on you and every time I watch it I hear or see something I missed the first (or second) time. The script is extremely clever but if you don't like it you don't like it, fair enough.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 21/12/2019 14:29

I'm really looking forward to it, haven't seen the trailer purposely.

MsChnandlerBong · 21/12/2019 14:30

I'm going to struggle to watch it because I can't stand James bloody Corden!

Hope it's good though. Pete and Dawn are my faves, I hope they get a good storyline.

CaptainMyCaptain · 21/12/2019 14:42

I don't like James Corden as James Corden but he's a good writer and good as Smithy.

Glitteryone · 21/12/2019 14:43

Oh my Christ!

How can you not be excited for G&S On xmas day?

MsChnandlerBong · 21/12/2019 14:45

Oh my Christ Grin Grin

I do love saying that!

AnyFucker · 21/12/2019 19:02

Anybody who loved Dawn in this needs to watch Nighty Night from the beginning, currently on Netflix

The actress who plays Ness also plays a great character in it

Gavin and Stacey is fairly gentle humour, Nighty Night is dark (but brilliant)

Mrsjayy · 21/12/2019 19:05

I loved Nightynigh !

AnyFucker · 21/12/2019 19:06

Sorry, it's on Iplayer, not Netflix

Sparklingbrook · 21/12/2019 19:13

I watch Gavin and Stacey but don't find it laugh out loud funny. I hope the Christmas one lives up to expectations.

1Morewineplease · 21/12/2019 19:15

Our family don’t find it particularly funny . Haven’t noticed the hype tbh. We don’t watch much live telly though.

CrissmussMockers · 21/12/2019 19:17

I thought we'd deported James Corden as a condition for taking Piers Morgan back?

CaptainMyCaptain · 21/12/2019 20:25

I've been watching Nighty Night on iplayer. It's very, very dark - I want to stop watching it but it draws me back.

Mrsjayy · 21/12/2019 20:29

It is not for everybody Nighty night but i thought it was genuis !

MsChnandlerBong · 21/12/2019 20:29

I started watching Nighty Night on iPlayer, have watched two episodes so far and it is fantastic! Thanks for the recommendation AF.

7Days · 21/12/2019 20:32

I like G and S.

Gentle character led humour is my favourite. Amy other recommendations in that vein?

lioness88 · 21/12/2019 20:33

I've not seen one episode! And I haven't seen any adverts about the reunion episode either.
