To ask how long after baby your period returned?

It’s been 11 months for me and no sign! On one hand woohoo....on the other, is that normal?!

Quick check of mums I know and no one else’s disappeared for this long....

I’ve got an 11 month old as well - also no period. Had a few aches and pains recently and have thought it might be coming back but nothing so far. Still breastfeeding fairly often.

Dc1 - breastfed for 6 weeks, period returned at 9 weeks post-partum.

Dc2 - breastfed for 3 days, period returned at 4 months after birth (but I'm sure I was ovulating before as I had all the pms symptoms like clockwork, just without the bleeding )

13 months while still breastfeeding twins

23 months while still feeding a single baby

I think there's a wide variety of normal!

Four months, and I was breastfeeding. I was pregnant again three months later.

Ten months and eight months - though not technically periods, conceived on the first egg both times Six months pp now and not planning to conceive again, so hoping for some blood at some point! Ebf all three, first two until about a year.

8 weeks, of which 6 of those weeks were post birth bleeding so I had a grand old break of 2 weeks with no bleeding.

And I was breastfeeding

I feel for some of you ladies - and shall appreciate the break a bit more now, thank you!

For me - about 1 year - 1.5 years. Both children bf until about 2.5 years

First, six weeks

Second 11 months and no sign of it yet, long may it continue! Can I skip straight to menopause now!

I want to say 6 weeks but that time seems to of flown by so quickly, though certainly not at the time of course!
Again as you will of gathered from responses so far, it can vary greatly!

With DD1 18 months EBF and this is when I went back to work. DD2 9 months and counting again EBF

@ChrisPrattsFace exactly the same here! Breast fed for short while, then 6 weeks and period returned.

14 months BFing. Had to cut down feed for period to return to try to have a second child

6 weeks both times despite breastfeeding for 2 years 😵

Two years, six months, three weeks. All were breast fed.

DC1: 14 months (was still BF at that point)
DC2: 4 months (was EBF - so was a bit of a surprise)

Not yet at 18 months but still breastfeeding.

8 weeks (FF from 3 weeks)
18 months (BF until 2y 8m)
8 months (expressed for tube fed baby for 6 months)

Never...and my daughter is 10 in January! I breast fed for 19 months with no sign of it returning, then went back on the progesterone only pill. I’m now 44 so I’m hoping they’ll never come back, really, as I used to get dreadful pain every month.

14 months and I'm still breastfeeding now.

Around 13 months when night feeds reduced to 1 instead of every couple of hours

10 weeks for both of mine and I EBF both babies so, alas, the breastfeeding break didn’t happen for me. I guess we’re all different!

EBF for six minutes maths both times, then carried on after weaning until about 15 months. Periods back bang on 4 weeks both times.

Second time they put me on the mini pill, so then I bled solidly for three months as well.

No effect on supply.

12 months, then 16 months ( breastfeeding both times).

8 weeks and I EBF 🙄
