To ask how long after baby your period returned?

It’s been 11 months for me and no sign! On one hand woohoo....on the other, is that normal?!

Quick check of mums I know and no one else’s disappeared for this long....

About 4 months, 1 month after I stopped breastfeeding.

12 weeks bang on! Formula fed apart from the first 5 weeks.

Mine returned 6 weeks after birth every single time!😐 Then every 4 weeks

9 beautiful months of breastfeeding x

First time was 10 weeks postpartum.
Second and third were 8 weeks postpartum.

All exclusively breastfed.

I breastfed all mine for 2 yes but my period returned like clockwork 6 weeks after every singly birth

Mine didn't come back for 2 years both times! (I was breastfeeding)

Can's remember with DC1. With DC2, it was 6 weeks, despite exclusive breastfeeding.

Six weeks with the first (born at 38 weeks so 4 weeks exactly from due date!), eight weeks with the second (born at 40 weeks so at least I managed one missed period). Both were being ebf at the time. No fair!

With the first one I had pnd, she wasn’t sleeping at night at all (I mean at all) because of illness (she could only sleep when someone was pushing her around town in the pram) and then I got pmt on top. Nearly ended me.

At two weeks post partum unfortunately. Very unusual but yup. I had a period two weeks after I delivered. As I was in hospital still with many other issues, it was confirmed by the doctors I was also having a sodden period on top of it all

Part of the reason for the range may be individual, but for some bleeding returns depends on feeding and weaning pattern.

Not until I stopped feeding. So 6 months with my first then about 13 months with my second and third.

Exclusive feeding hungry babies on demand and the damn thing came back after 3 months both times.

7 months and I was still exclusively breastfeeding my baby

Four children all fully breastfed -28days each time. 😞

2 years. Breastfeeding still. Period took 2 years to come back, came back with no real warning. Seems to be back to previous pattern too, Short cycle, 24 days ish

Over a year for DS1 and 16 weeks for DS2 (on the day I had a gynaecologist appointment to review a third degree tear). They were both exclusively breastfed.

12 months (breastfeeding).

About 3 months. Didn't breastfeed.

Bang on 4 weeks for both both exclusively breastfed.

3 months, 5 months, 18 months and 6 months. All breastfed. The 18 month gap was worrying for me, I kept panicking about either being pregnant or ill.

Exclusively fed both for 13 months each. Both times period was back within 6 weeks. Once before my 6 week check - still couldn't drive from the section!
