I went on a date today, and it was lovely.

I've had a really shit few years. Really shit. Had my heart broken, become chronically ill, just had loads of crap going on. Had given up hope of finding anybody lovely who would look past all my medical issues and see me for who I was, and be interested in that person. But today I had a coffee date, and it was brilliant, and I didn't want to leave to pick the kids up. And we're having lunch on Thursday. And even if things don't pan out, I would very happily be friends with him, he's really funny and thoughtful.

Squee.

Sorry, as you were. Just a bit of niceness on a Tuesday.

It is lovely to hear that disability hasn't got in the way of dating. I haven't dated since I have become less mobile & my health has got worse, I wish I had your bravery & could bite the bullet.

You introduced your kids to a man you've been dating less than 3months?? Slow down maybe??

MyOtherProfile · 11/03/2020 08:49

So lovely. Really pleased for you.

Welshmaenad · 11/03/2020 18:20

Thank you all for being so happy for me.

Except @PeppaisaBitch maybe. Yes, I did. I judged it to be appropriate given their ages, my knowledge of them and my knowledge of the situation.

At least peppa lives up to her username.

Meh. Strokes for folks. What actually happened was they turned up here with no warning when they were supposed to be with their dad for the weekend and he was sat on the sofa drinking coffee. After that it seemed pointless keeping them apart so we went for dinner.

How absolutely wonderful!

Welshmaenad · 01/04/2020 21:51

Dear romance fans, we made the decision to self isolate together for the purpose of lockdown and have been living together 24/7 for several weeks. It's still wonderful. Well, the pandemic and death and apocalypse and work stress (me, keyworker) have been shit, but him staying with us is marvellous. I got out of the shower yesterday and he was doing a yoga session in the living room with my teenager. Awwww. ❤️
