He feels fine in himself didn’t even know he had it till I saw it. No itching, no known allergies no other symptoms can anyone say what this might be or what we should do?

I get that sudden hot flush with some wines especially if I’ve drunk a glass quite quickly, once after drinking a cheap white wine I got a very tight chest but it went after taking an antihistamine

Has he been near a poinsettia? My son used to get like this if we had one even in the house.

Hi all

DH is fine this morning and its completely gone so must have been a stress reaction or a random allergy. Thank you all for your advice! x Glad he is back to normal

My dad and I both get this as a stress reaction. Goes away with antihistamines. Glad your DH is fine now!

This happened to me when I unpacked and assembled a glass shelf unit for the bathroom. It was the stuff it was packed in.

Glad to see that your DH is fine now op. I've had similar to this a few times.
Once was a stress reaction - lots going on, had issues with money and house, and it was Christmas Eve to boot. Thankfully doctors saw me and gave me antihistamines which helped.
Other times were with wine - had a drink and face got really hot then started going red from my nose outwards. Family had a good laugh about it at the time. Grin

Has he taken antibiotics in the last month?

Thatagain · 15/12/2019 13:43

It's hives or an allergy. My DS gets this about 2 times a year. My DS I'd allergic to pollen and something alce? which is a pain. Has he had anything new to eat?Been out in the grass? Get him to take some antihistamines and it should clear up. You can have a rash like this when you feel a bit run down to. Sometimes there is no reason and can be caused by bacteria in the air. That's what my doctor said.

I get this from certain wines and beers.

Happened to my daughter recently. Allergic to raspberries. Glad he’s ok.
