To think it’s utterly disgraceful that Corbyn hasn’t resigned

Bearbehind · 13/12/2019 19:19

The man is the reason the Labour Party didn’t stand a chance in the GE

Yet today he doesn’t even have the good grace or integrity to step aside

Is their anyone at all who supports him in that decision?

Yes, naturally an English teacher wouldn't have any reading comprehension skills.

But I'm very relieved that there's absolutely no media bias or foreign influence because you've told me so. I guess people just really fucking hate Corbyn, right?

TheBlueStocking · 17/12/2019 18:55

Getty must be embarrassed about this photoshop blunder getting in their archives.

singledadstu · 17/12/2019 18:57

I don’t like him . I think the worst part is that him and his ultra left have taken a lot from the British electorate. His ideas are fringe at best . Him and his have removed an effective opposition from parliament and taken from us a viable alternative.

Trewser · 17/12/2019 19:03

bluestocking yes that whole festival thing was utterly cringe

TheBlueStocking · 17/12/2019 19:07

Yes, it's awfully hard to relate to the youngsters once you get past a certain age, isn't it? Loathsome young types with their smiles and their dreams.

Hirsutefirs · 17/12/2019 19:09

Then the youngsters get past that embarrassing age.

CendrillonSings · 17/12/2019 19:10

Then they grow up and vote Tory Wink

TheBlueStocking · 17/12/2019 19:14

Isn't it ghastly to imagine a world in which one kept one's youthful optimism? No, much better to climb up the ladder and then kick the rungs out from under you.

Justanotherlurker · 17/12/2019 19:45

Yes, naturally an English teacher wouldn't have any reading comprehension skills.

You clearly haven't because otherwise you would refrain from posting a year old article

But I'm very relieved that there's absolutely no media bias or foreign influence because you've told me so. I guess people just really fucking hate Corbyn, right?

Ironic when you use a heavy biased source yourself and don't even follow the links.

As you clearly didn't read it, the londoneconomic article is a straight up copy and paste from Sputnik news ffs, I notice how you glanced over the russian leaked report that Corbyn thought was a gotcha, ironically forwarded after someone found it on Reddit.

If hope you are less indoctrinated in your approach to teaching, for instance do you know Milnes background, if there was anyone on either side of the government who has a sympathy for Russia then it might be best to start looking there before you look into any Tories.

Anyway, you obviously wasn't asking a serious question, as you have no original comeback.

WellErrr · 17/12/2019 19:50

Isn't it ghastly to imagine a world in which one kept one's youthful naivety?

Fixed it for you Grin

Trewser · 17/12/2019 19:51

Its more that he was a cringey trend rather than anything with longevity. Apparently 'Boris is a legend' is the new chant.

derxa · 17/12/2019 19:56

Hi Well Err How are you doing?

TheBlueStocking · 17/12/2019 19:57

Do you really think the Tories waited until the last minute to sow their seeds? This has been going on for a long time. Years.

And it's not just in the UK. We're living in dangerously interesting times.

TheBlueStocking · 17/12/2019 19:58

Apparently 'Boris is a legend' is the new chant.

Did your friend Doris tell you that at the bingo hall?

Justanotherlurker · 17/12/2019 20:09

Isn't it ghastly to imagine a world in which one kept one's youthful optimism? No, much better to climb up the ladder and then kick the rungs out from under you.

It's not necessarily pulling up the rung from behind you, although there is a lot on the current labour front bench who wanted that (cough Dianne Abbot), it's more most people understand there are many shades of grey and the world cannot be fixed with simplistic black and white solutions.

What has been interesting to watch is the complete 180 by Momentum activists, after the ref, we should listen to big business and banks until it comes to the GE and a possibility (weak as though it was) getting into power, they spent years posting every 2 bit news report about some small business failing or moving off shore because of brexit and yet failed to highlight that after Corbyn rode on a nationalisation of industries policy, 2 of the biggest providers moved their HQ off shore to Europe to escape Corbyn..

www.theguardian.com/business/2019/nov/24/power-firms-move-ownership-offshore-to-protect-against-labour-renationalisation

It's those types of shades of grey that most people understand, they aren't as easily taken in by feel good sound bites as you think they are.

Justanotherlurker · 17/12/2019 20:15

Do you really think the Tories waited until the last minute to sow their seeds? This has been going on for a long time. Years.

What are you on about?

You provided a link to a heavy left leaning blog and wanting answers, I have given you an answer and you have completley side stepped it and not even read the link I provided, nor answered anything about Milne, the russian leaked report Corbyn thought was a gotcha.

If you want to talk about russian interference there is many spin off points above.

And it's not just in the UK. We're living in dangerously interesting times.

I agree with that, and most of Milnes russian apologism from before he was invited to be Corbyn's Alistair Campbell is still online to read.

But no, lets still try and play, Tories bad, labour good style thinking.

TheBlueStocking · 17/12/2019 20:17

But no, lets still try and play, Tories bad, labour good style thinking.

Well, all the kids ARE chanting Boris is a legend! Grin Grin

This is the thread that keeps on giving. Happy Christmas to me.

GCAcademic · 17/12/2019 20:24

Did your friend Doris tell you that at the bingo hall?

Wow, the disgusting class snobbery just goes on and on.

Middle-class snobs like you have colonised the Labour party, turned it into a vehicle for your own self-validation, and just can't resist giving the working classes a bloody good kicking and sneering as you sharp-elbow them out of the party that once represented their interests.

Labour can't appeal to the woke festival crowd and to blue collar workers at the same time. It's impossible. It's either blue hair or blue collar, not both. Enjoy what you've snatched from people who actually needed it. As today's YouGov poll shows, the tory party is now the party for the workers, and Labour the party of the elite. Bloody tragic.

Justanotherlurker · 17/12/2019 20:27

Well, all the kids ARE chanting Boris is a legend! grin grin

Wasn't that in response to you hearing 'Oh Jeremy Corbyn' chanting whilst out canvasing Grin Grin, you obviously canvassed in those marginals so have your finger firmly on the pulse.

This is the thread that keeps on giving. Happy Christmas to me.

It really is, because you keep showing yourself up, you wanting to bring up russian intereference and keep ignoring my replies.

So, back to your article from the balanced londoneconomic?

WellErrr · 17/12/2019 20:38

Hi Well Err How are you doing?

Hi! Not bad thanks, mega busy with everything but all is good! You?

TheBlueStocking · 17/12/2019 20:39

Oh no, you've converted me.

All together now...

BORIS IS A LEGEND BORIS IS A LEGEND BORIS IS A LEGEND

derxa · 17/12/2019 20:46

WellErr We've got a major concreting job in the sheep shed Grin
We've had a mega year for breeding sheep. Last year was dire. I've got a mad Irish tup. He escaped through two fences to get to a group of ewes.
Good luck for lambing.

Justanotherlurker · 17/12/2019 20:55

Oh no, you've converted me.

This really is the thread that keeps on giving, but you fail to see why.

I will repeat, you wanted answers to your not biased 1 year old londoneconomic article, I have offered a reply directly to that article, provided links to highlight how some reading comprehension was maybe needed, it might be difficult to go off script, but feel free to counter my points, that is considering you was being honest and not just copied and pasted from your bank of Gotcha links, this isn't twitter, there are no likes, it's a conversation.

If it is too difficult, we can ignore Corbyn and his russian leaked report, forget Milne for a while, lets keep it simple and just focus on the article you posted.

Or you could pretend that you showed how intellectual superior you are with comments such as this:

All together now...

BORIS IS A LEGEND BORIS IS A LEGEND BORIS IS A LEGEND

I will agree that the Tories have severely underfunded education if you are an actual english teacher, so I will give you that one for free.

TheBlueStocking · 17/12/2019 21:00

I will agree that the Tories have severely underfunded education

But doesn't their leader have such dreamy eyes?

Justanotherlurker · 17/12/2019 21:06

But doesn't their leader have such dreamy eyes?

Back on track, you posted an article wanting a response, I provided that response and provided a link, you don't even need to read it is there is a recording.

You provided a link and wanted to discuss it, why are you now dodging it?
