Not a horror one but friend sent me a WhatsApp message earlier saying our Christmas tree is really nice as she saw it on DD's Instagram. I replied saying yours is really nice 'as well' but somehow the words 'as well' were changed to 'awful' and I didn't realise until I sent it! Was that the actual iPhone that autocorrected or WhatsApp? Anyway she has a good sense of humour and thought it was funny! Tell me your good and embarrassing autocorrects that you only noticed after you pressed 'send'!

@07Inebriatededna the child is in the buggy smoking, instead of snoring 🤣🤣🤣. I just laughed out loud on the train

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 13/12/2019 17:07

I have several times texted:
I'm on the cup now. Be good soon

Instead of I'm on the bus now, be home soon

Thankfully DH has cracked my code but was very confused the first couple of times

TheCakeCrusader · 13/12/2019 17:07

I typed to a group a school mum friends that I was a lesbian..... except I’m not and I can’t remember what word it auto corrected from but that wasn’t what I intended to say!!

Que lots of shock laughing emojis from all of them! 😬

TheCakeCrusader · 13/12/2019 17:08

‘Cue’ not que! 😕

3boysandabump · 13/12/2019 17:13

I asked my grandma if she wanted oral instead of asking if she wanted the pram when she was babysitting for me.

She passed on the oral thankfully 🤣🤣🤣

simplekindoflife · 13/12/2019 17:40

These are hilarious!!

I once got a quote from the decorator and it was extortionate, completely overpriced, so I forwarded the message to my husband with loads of shocked faced and sweary fingers emojis ... but obviously sent it to the Decorator instead ... Blush I did apologise and he laughed it off luckily, but I was mortified!

Not me, but I once worked at a place where two people had secretly got it on at a work do. My colleague emailed me asking me for the gossip, but accidentally sent it to the whole team including the people in question! Worst thing was that nobody even acknowledged it and everyone just carried on like it didn't happen!

Butterfly98 · 13/12/2019 17:47

These are good, keep them coming! 😂
@msmith501 it's true people should be so careful when giving out by text about someone! If you are sending a moany text then you are more likely to send it to the person you're criticising instead! There is a psychological explanation which I don't know! Basically step away from the phone and do it in person instead or at least while actually chatting on the phone!

I was playing Pokemon Go. I messaged the group I was playing with, “I’m off out catching Mudkips later”.

Mudkips autocorrected to Muslims.

Butterfly98 · 13/12/2019 17:52

@simplekindoflife 😂 at least he saw the funny side!

Was once in a PTA group message about what to get the teachers for a gift, particularly the one male teacher. My husband replied to me making a blue joke (along the lines of getting Mr Teacher a night out at Spearmint Rhino) but accidentally sent to all. He tried to redeem himself by apologising but only got as far as "I'm [part of the word] sorry" when the train jolted and he sent it prematurely.

It had autocorrected to ""I'm dirty".

Its 10 years on - we now have a younger child at that school- and he's still known in the playground as "dirty spearmint rhino dad".

My partner was holding a party and needed catering . She met him and discussed everything. Afterwards, she text him and said

“So we are ok with 75 Fucks as the cost?”

She meant bucks

He refused to supply us!!!

An old colleague once emailed a client "sorry for any incontinence"
They found it quite funny and brought some incontinence pads in when they came in next, she hadn't realised till that point that it autocorrected!

CabbageAndCornflakes · 13/12/2019 18:11

A few years ago,I texted a friend something about a mutual friend's holiday in Mexico. My phone changed the word 'Mexico' to 'Newham'.

Cauliflowerpower · 13/12/2019 18:17

Once I accidentally sent a reply to a lovely sounding woman off gumtree saying "yes of course, nine am is fine, see you then. Bastard." God knows how I did that but I felt awful!

Butterfly98 · 13/12/2019 18:32

@AnduinsGirl OMG! Funny though 🤣

During a bit of flirty messaging on bumble I meant to say “I find you really quite attractive” except I actually wrote “I find you really quite attainable”

Never did get a dateXmas Grin

MrsTidyHouse · 13/12/2019 18:38

I was having an email chat with an older person about Marcus Aurelius, and didn’t notice it autocorrected to “Aureoles”. Tried to laugh it off with my next email, but only dead silence.

mybabyisteething · 13/12/2019 18:38

Told my friend about the multicoloured babies i had just got for my christmas tree.

Didn't notice until she replied! That was on my iPhone. Not many problems on Samsung!

tillytoodles1 · 13/12/2019 18:39

I sent a text to the washing machine repair man, but before I sent it I checked it over as I do make mistakes. Luckily I did as it said "can you tickle me ". I meant ring me

Strawberrycreamsundae · 13/12/2019 18:42

“I appreciate how very BUSTY you are”
Instead of busy ...mortified Xmas Blush

MLMsuperfan · 13/12/2019 19:01

I was on a bus into town to meet a friend. We were texting because traffic was at a standstill and I was going to be late. I meant to text "I'll have to get off and start walking" but instead of walking my phone put "wanking".
