I feel utterly in despair. How can people not care about the NHS, the planet, the homeless.... etc etc etc...

Wishing you the hangover from hell tomorrow silverysurfer!

I am desperately hoping the exit poll is wrong and despairing.

Guess I'll be restocking the cupboards between now and end of Jan if the tories do get their majority, that and buying private health insurance for my family. Unfortunately emigrating isn't an option or that would be on the to do list.

Honestly have no idea how anyone could be foolish enough to vote Tory, especially with Boris the liar heading them up.

Astrid09 · 12/12/2019 22:44

I've been dreading this vote. I'm disabled have spina bifida and other issues due to it, it scares me there might not be an NHS I wouldn't be able to afford to get the medications I need privately. As well as them reducing disability help. I don't get either why people trust and believe him.

Doobigetta · 12/12/2019 22:45

Stop gnashing your teeth over the stupidity of others, and start looking at the stupidity of those who prop up a leader so bad he can’t topple Johnson. That’s the problem.

Cauliflowerpower · 12/12/2019 22:45

Because of course it's a straight line vote.labour or hate the poor , disabled, environment, NHS etc

Fucking YAWN

LaurieMarlow · 12/12/2019 22:46

It isn’t wrong, or not to the degree you need it to be.

I’m sorry.

MrsFoxPlus4Again · 12/12/2019 22:46

I’m in tears over it. I didn’t love any of the options but the tories terrified me.

Marleyisme · 12/12/2019 22:46

Why is every time theres an election, there is grief competition on here?

And personal judgment of those we dont agree with?

PorpentinaScamander · 12/12/2019 22:46

I've got an acquaintance who was quite vocal about the fact she voted Tory for the last few elections. When I asked her how, as a single parent on benefits, she could vote for them she replied " well DS2 gets DLA and I get carers allowance so we wont be affected by the cuts" Angry Angry

Only now she has been and she's very vocal about how awful the Tories are.

People vote for them because of this "I'm alright Jack" attitude

SueDoeName · 12/12/2019 22:46

People are just too stupid to weigh all the issues up - this was all about Brexit.

I was fine with Brexit and fed up of the impasse but it was small potatoes compared to everything else.

Boris said the right thing for most people who
Couldn't be arsed to research.

Papergirl1968 · 12/12/2019 22:47

Agree that Labour has no chance with Corbyn as leader.

user1471448556 · 12/12/2019 22:47

Beyond gutted. I detest Boris with every fibre of my being. Good luck to all who cannot afford private healthcare. Good luck to all women - we’re gonna need it. Five years of this

Papergirl1968 · 12/12/2019 22:47

Had, sorry, not has

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 12/12/2019 22:47

There but for the Grace of God, Silver.

Oh and don’t come out with that shit. I’ve worked all my life, so have I, so did my mother who only lives until she was 61. She basically died from exhaustion. No fucker is going to tell me. She wAs deservedly poor..
I hope Karma is watching you.

Mishfit0819 · 12/12/2019 22:48

I genuinely cannot fathom how BJ is a better choice than Jezza, or anyone for that matter. I'm not a fan of Jeremy at all, but if I had to vote for the better of two evils, surely JC should win hands down.

Thankfully I live in Scotland and had another option, it was nice knowing you UK.

Marleyisme · 12/12/2019 22:48

And why is no one ever pussed off at those that didnt bother voting?

When there was the referendum, people kept bleating 'but it wasnt half the population because not every one voted'. Well they dont count. Because they didnt vote. What matters is who does vote.

The result may not be what we wanted and if non voters had voted maybe that would have been changed.

themental · 12/12/2019 22:50

@Mishfit0819 I couldn't agree more.

This could well be the final nail in the coffin for the UK.

Bluntness100 · 12/12/2019 22:50

I think this is the labour line, we lost because if brexit, but in reality it was Corbyn, McDonnell, momentum, the hard left socialist Policies as well as thr lack of any clarity on brexit position that did it.

Marleyisme · 12/12/2019 22:51

From now on I’m not helping anyone at all.I’m going to refuse to contribute to food banks etc etc. People had their chance to vote out this Muppet but decided to keep him in.

So you complain about people on the assumption they dont give a fuck.....by also not giving a fuck?

That makes sense Hmm

Pickledbrain1 · 12/12/2019 22:51

It’s not like Boris has destroyed the nhs by himself. We cannot blame conservatives.

The nhs is great but it is stretched to breaking point. There are too many people in this country. We are an ageing population. We get old get sick need dementia treatment, cancer treatment etc. We are treating more diseases than ever. 100 years ago some of these diseases were not even known let alone treated!

The nhs is wonderful but at breaking point and this is the biggest reason why. Too many people using the service. It’s broken the system.

I wish people would quit the Tory bashing. I do care about the nhs, I do care about vulnerable people. BUT I don’t believe Jc and his endless money tree and unicorns is the answer.

ShinyNewNameTimeAgain · 12/12/2019 22:53

I’m having a cry. Who are all these people that are voting Tory? I just don’t understand who would want this. We’re what a lot of people would consider rich but I just wouldn’t ever vote for this Tory government.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 12/12/2019 22:54

Well the British public have put em back in.
Someone obviously voted for them.

AlexaShutUp · 12/12/2019 22:54

I wish people would quit the Tory bashing. I do care about the nhs, I do care about vulnerable people.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe you. Actions speak louder than words.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 12/12/2019 22:56

Absolute fucking disaster. Johnson is gunning for a No Deal Brexit which will make all but the rich worse off. Not to mention what he's going to do with the Constitution to make the Executive less accountable.

Even more people will die because of this.

Bluntness100 · 12/12/2019 22:59

Johnson isn't gunning for no deal, he's gunning for his deal and made all candidates agree to support it as part of the requirement to stand.

Hatetosay · 12/12/2019 22:59

A conservative voter wpuld be opening a bottle of champagne right now. Hmm
