Thegrinch2019 · 11/12/2019 18:39

I’m very excited about my unicorns come Friday that will be arriving on Friday when labour get into power. I just need a big enough garden for it but I’m hoping Labour will give that to me too along with my free broadband and everything else they have promised!!

OP posts:
TimpoTempo · 11/12/2019 20:36

I agree op. If Labour get in, judging by the promises they’ve made, we’re all gonna be loaded AND working part time - I can’t wait.
Shame the economy (and consequently the country) will be fucked. Ha well, can’t have everything I suppose.

Booberella9 · 11/12/2019 20:36

Yay unicorns!

Got to be better than Tory grimwaifs.

ElusiveOrangeTwirl · 11/12/2019 20:37

No I don't want it to be 1997 unless someone plans to stop Tony Blair from starting an illegal war.

AIBU1112 · 11/12/2019 20:38

For the many, Not the Jew. So yeah, Corbyn will make sure that me and my family won't even get the imaginary unicorns!!

PerceptionIsReality · 11/12/2019 20:39

Is this the standard of MN posts these days?

Owlypants · 11/12/2019 20:40

Unicorns have already been handed out. In Glasgow the dukes horse has been given cone.

Luckylassiam · 11/12/2019 20:41

I can’t wait for Labour to get in and nationalise everything, get all this free stuff and get to work part time for the same wage and it not cost us any tax rises whatsoever. They are amazing, aren’t they? I’m sure the economy will be be brilliant. It always is under Labour...

CharlottesPleb · 11/12/2019 20:46

But you carry on being sarcastic about Labour, and we will keep pumping money into rail and electricity for others to profit from

Labour doesn't have bugger all money to pump anywhere. tlThat's our money, collectively, you're talking about Labour spending completely and then borrowing on top of, and then indebting our kids and grandkids for a hundred years on top of that.

How magnanimous. How charitable Labour are.

PinkiOcelot · 11/12/2019 20:47

ODFOD!!

fantasticalbeast · 11/12/2019 20:49

Even his own party supporters have taken out several whole page newspaper ads urging Labour voters not to vote for Corbyn stating he is a threat to national security and not fit to be a leader.

No fucking way am I voting for JC. None.

I refuse to vote for Labour until that cretin has gone.

No matter how many unicorns are thrown in - in the real world, his re-nationalisation plans will fuck up everybody's pensions - he is literally going to reduce them by billions.

I want to be able to eat when I retire - and not from food banks.

DeathStare · 11/12/2019 20:54

Well enjoy your unicorns. I guess we have different priorities because if Labour wins I'm looking forward to millions of UK children not having to rely on charity foodbanks to eat.

bigvig · 11/12/2019 20:56

Amazing how the right wing press have managed to convince some people that Labour's promises are wild and extreme. Nationalised railways, healthcare, properly funded schools no tuition fees. It's just what most of Europe has and we used to have! 50% top rate of tax is tame. Under Thatcher it was 60% for most of her time in office.

user1471510720 · 11/12/2019 21:01

When labour get in and your tax goes through the roof to pay for all the pie in the sky terrorist supported goodies, ( hmm wasn’t it only the rich JC said😂) then Let those unicorns fly!!!

Actionhasmagic · 11/12/2019 21:01

Fuck off

CharlottesPleb · 11/12/2019 21:03

If you spend very large numbers of billions of pounds on nationalisation projects and your manifesto promises would destroy swathes of British industry and entirely negate pension fund replenishment, nobody will starve for that in the long run, oh no. 5 year cycle and done, blame the consequences on whoever is in office then, rinse, repeat.

Both of the big parties have the "I'm alright Jack" mentality just from different ends, with the vast majority of us being outside the favoured groups of either party.

ForalltheSaints · 11/12/2019 21:05

My hope is for a hung parliament which I don't think we will get, and for the good people of Uxbridge and South Ruislip to reject Mr Johnson.

As for the unicorns, they can wait.

flopsytheflatcat · 11/12/2019 21:05

Hilarious OP.

Monsterinmyshoe · 11/12/2019 21:06

Rather vote for someone giving away unicorns than another 5 years of lies, incompetence and ignorance.

user1471510720 · 11/12/2019 21:06

@bigvig

My god you are deluded, right wing press, where’s that?😂😂.

You do realise don’t you, where there are nationalised railways you pay more tax but you probably think someone else pays for all these goodies you want, deluded, not much.

leghairdontcare · 11/12/2019 21:09

Me too! I'm going to call mine princess sparkle and we'll fly around marvelling at the reduction in child poverty. Ha ha ha ha!

XingMing · 11/12/2019 21:10

Delusions, all delusions. Unicorns are fabulous dream beings. Your children will not thank you for the debts.

bigvig · 11/12/2019 21:10

Oh and Labour don't always leave the economy in a mess. Read some History. Labour took over in 1945 after WWII and set up the welfare state and NHS. Yes there was rationing but we were recovering from the bloody war. The economy was improving in 1951. With billions of Marshall aid money the conservatives managed to balls it up and left the country with a massive debt 800 million Balance of payments deficit in 1964. The Wilson government then took over and despite attempts by bankers to destroy the economy by sending money out of the country the country was left with a balance of payments surplus in 1970. Heath and the conservatives took over - more debt spiralling unemployment, 3 day week. Labour come in again - yes admittedly more strikes and protests but the economy was actually recovering when Thatcher was elected in 1979 largely due to the discovery of North Sea oil and gas. What does Thatcher do with this windfall - sell it off at knock down rates. It brought in 4 billion pound a year and British Gas was sold for 4 billion. Someone made a lot of money but it wasn't us. Thatcher - heralded as improving the economy - she sold everything off and helped cause the banking crisis of 2008 by changing banking rules and the housing crisis by selling off council houses and not building new ones - the bottom 10% saw their incomes fall by 16%. If you don't believe me read about it - not the mainstream press they print whatever they are told by politicians - read some historians - they at least are not allowed to lie outright.

fromthefloorboardsup · 11/12/2019 21:14

@livelovebehappy The only people I will blame for the Tories getting back in are the people voting Tory!

B0bbin · 11/12/2019 21:18

What a stupid post. Labour's manifesto is stronger and more realistic that the Conservative party one. People keep laughing about free broadband, but ignoring the rest, of course being led by the billionaire- owned media. Grow up and read the policies. Think about the most vulnerable people you know in real life. They need you to vote labour. It's not about sodding broadband- it is life or death for so many people, so do us a favour and stop spouting your putrid Tory lies.

user1471510720 · 11/12/2019 21:19

@bigvig

Tells people to read history and has not read any herself. Everything you said was a false truth.(lie)

If I were you I’d read up on Marxism and then tells us how wonderful Labour is.
