Can anyone decipher this handwriting for me?

We moved house just under a year ago. We are on nodding terms with the next door neighbours, but have never exchanged names. Now they've sent us a Christmas card with the names on, which should be great, as I won't have to ask them, except I can't read the handwriting! Any ideas? I've cut off the man's name as I can read that, and I can see the last one is Emily, but the other three are a mystery. If it helps, the children are girl, boy, girl.

Can anyone decipher this handwriting for me?

If we had an age range it might help. If the kids are Aimee/Ania, Liam and Emily I'm guessing they are older teens/adults sp parents would be 40's/50's. We could check the top names lists from 1970 to 1980.

Totally over invested here Blush

@zucchinicourgette
I actually know sisters called Aimee and Emily not these ones though!

Stravapalava · 10/12/2019 16:13

Could the Amiee one be Amelie?

LaurieMarlow · 10/12/2019 16:13

Looking at it again, I think Diane might be possible. The loopy ‘a’ in Liam is similar (though in fairness I can’t see when the ‘n’ is supposed to be).

It fits the likely age bracket. Clutches.

everythingthelighttouches · 10/12/2019 16:15

Neill, Aimee, Liam and Emily

everythingthelighttouches · 10/12/2019 16:16

Sorry Amiee

Stravapalava · 10/12/2019 16:17

Although, thinking about it, Amelie and Emily would be a bit much!

DH says first one is Peril Xmas Hmm ok then DH....

Maneandfeathers · 10/12/2019 16:18

I think the first name is Reece for some reason!

yips · 10/12/2019 16:21

Becci for the first one?

exexpat · 10/12/2019 16:22

You'll never be certain of the names from just that handwriting.

Alternative tactics:

  • ask another neighbour
  • stalk them on facebook or other social media if you know the dad's name
  • intercept your postman and ask him

Or just ask them yourself in a casual way: "This is really embarrassing after all this time, but I never really caught your name?"

It's a shame that you must also be about the only person on MN who has never had to take in dozens of parcels for all their neighbours, which would of course give you the opportunity to make a spreadsheet of all their names and buying habits.

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 10/12/2019 16:42

Keeli or Kelly, with a lower case cursive K? Long shot there though

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 10/12/2019 16:43

Kelli even

blitzen · 10/12/2019 16:49

Could the first one be along the lines of Diana? I did think Neill though!

MuddlingThroughLife · 10/12/2019 16:53

Are they Welsh? Looks like Dewi to me.

diddl · 10/12/2019 16:57

How about Drelli, Arnill, Ulim & Eruily??

Cauliflowerpower · 10/12/2019 17:00

Im sorry to say OP that you live next to Devil, Aimee, Liam and Emily...

The actual DEVIL

or Drew.

Orangedaisy · 10/12/2019 17:04

Not rtft but I’d say the first name is Daniel.

Wanderingraspberry · 10/12/2019 17:06

Deric ?

DollyPomPoms · 10/12/2019 17:08

Becci, Aimee, Liam and Emily

xChristmasJumperx · 10/12/2019 17:10

Devil. Yes, That's it!

justdoityourself · 10/12/2019 17:12

Is the first one Reece?

Sidge · 10/12/2019 17:16

I think the first name is Traci.

Then Aimee, Liam and Emily.

Berrylove · 10/12/2019 17:16

You could just write it so messed up like she has done that she’ll just assume you’ve wrote their names right

Jamhandprints · 10/12/2019 17:20

Looks like it says Dian, Ania, Liam and Emily.

Jamhandprints · 10/12/2019 17:22

You could just put to X (dads initial), D, A, L and E from ( your initials)
Or to ( dads name) and family!
