oh dear, puke and farting is no big deal, many others were probably just the same.. It has just reminded me of some years ago, in the 1960 era. We were allowed to have an office party. a big thing in those days. booze and food were brought in, and a record player for the swinging sixties type music.. one of my office friends, who was a fabulous look a like Marilyn Monroe girl, went missing, so we went to look for her later, and she was found, in one of the bosses offices, having full sex on his office desk, with her lacy knickers draped over his telephone,.and his trousers on the floor.. It was about 1964, so that as was ok ha ha,,

Rose87777 · 08/12/2019 08:28

OP I assure you, this is really minor and honestly nothing to worry about. Just imagine what you would think if one of your colleagues had done this? You really wouldn’t be bothered by it!

About 10 years ago I went to our work Christmas doo and got plastered (early 20s plastered). I was wearing a dress that I couldn’t find underwear that didn’t show underneath soooo I didn’t wear any. I I later dropped my clutch bag and it’s contents went everywhere including under the table. I got down on all fours to try and retrieve it and showed the world my snatch.

QuimReaper · 08/12/2019 16:00

OP are you sure people know about the fart? It must have registered on the richter scale to have been audible over the noise of a work Christmas party! I bet hardly anyone heard it.

Newcatmum · 08/12/2019 16:24

Try not to worry, I once farted in the taxi after a work night out and made my friend vomit over the taxi. The IT manager was clawing at the windows for air and the taxi driver had to pull over so that the sick could be cleaned up. Its a story that is still brought up 9 years later but I still deny that fartGrin.

Abc234 · 08/12/2019 17:41

So what you enjoyed yourself look at all the bad things that are going on in the world .you got drunk its christmas if they say anything just say weve all done it and laugh . X

rachaelclaire1 · 08/12/2019 17:42

Most people have been in some work function and made a tit of themselves, your probably feeling vulnerable as alcohol makes you fell like this.

Just carry on as normal and I expect most people will not even remember it. You may have a few digs but any normal person would not be judgemental and hold it against you. Flowers

Jack80 · 08/12/2019 17:46

Don't worry we have all done it even if you have insulted someone I'm sure they will know you were drunk but just apologise.

Harls1969 · 08/12/2019 17:52

Style it out. It could have been so much worse. I've farted accidentally - and on purpose in front of several colleagues (I've got IBS and am basically a massive child!) stone cold sober. Blame it on the rich food 🤷

Jeeperscreepers69 · 08/12/2019 17:52

Just laugh it off. Theres always one and its you this year. No big deal x long as you didnt dance on the table naked shouting the boss is a wanker then i think your ok

Pebble40 · 08/12/2019 17:54

I'd say - had a dreadful hangover all weekend, serves me right for drinking so much apologies for anything I did..

maureen17 · 08/12/2019 17:55

So here it is Merry Xmas
Everybody's having fun
Look to the future now
It's only just begun

Mummytoonlychild · 08/12/2019 18:05

If it makes you feel better My boss at the work night out called me ugly and said I need to put more effort on my appearance and said I need to be shot in the face with a paint ball gun and a few other things and my boss was sober at the time too I am so proud I didn't smack them

BloggersBlog · 08/12/2019 18:08

@Mummytoonlychild Oh my goodness!! That is shockingly awful! Did they ever apologise?

CustardySergeant · 08/12/2019 18:09

Mummytoonlychild that's outrageous! What on earth led up to your boss being so rude to you and how did you react?

GnomeDePlume · 08/12/2019 18:10

@Mummytoonlychild do you have an HR department you can speak to?

Melm22 · 08/12/2019 18:10

Can't be worse than what I did!
▪︎Got seriously drunk.
▪︎Lost my beautiful new shoes.
▪︎Had sex with someone I worked with (both single so all above board)!
All of above is not the embarrassing bit....
I was sharing a room with some other work friends! And happened to take person back to that room and get it on! They came back, we didn't realise as were in the moment! Carried on regardless! They heard all sorts!! And they still kindly remind me of it to this date!
Then to top it off I was extremely late getting up, finally got to team meeting, bowled in stinking of alcohol and my Managing director was mid presentation!
Now that's embarrassing! I didn't hand in my notice. Was just slightly embarrassed for a few wks!

Justontherightsideofnormal · 08/12/2019 18:10

Last year we had a new girl at our work it’s an educational type of job. She preceded to get absolutely wasted within an hour, demand other colleagues pay for extortionate drinks, fall across the table and insult many colleagues/ other customers. Also everyone saw her fanny and then she pissed herself!!
She turned up for work on the Monday as if it was just a normal evening out!!
So if you haven’t done anything as bad as this just go to work as normal on Monday

xmaspartybull · 08/12/2019 18:10

One year I got really pissed at a hotel where several companies were holding their xmas parties. Every time I spotted one of my colleagues on the dance floor I charged at them like a bull and knocked them over. I've no idea why but it seemed like a brilliant idea at the time.

GiftedFish · 08/12/2019 18:11

I wouldn't worry too much. I once got so drunk at a works christmas party (in a casino).. well me and one other, he knocked my drink out my hand laughing about something. We got up on stage with the Tina Turner tribute. Me and another female member of staff were snogging. And i fell backwards over a planter with a xmas tree in it and all the stones fell out. It was at that point we were all asked to leave . Suppose it wasn't too bad as we were all quite loud.

StellaMalone · 08/12/2019 18:13

If you stayed in your frock, it’s probably ok

Mummytoonlychild · 08/12/2019 18:14

Don't be silly they would never apologize. I was shocked but never did anything really as I know I would face repercussions in work if I did.this person holds grudges and due to things happening in the next few months things could get very difficult. I did say something that wasn't rude I made a joke if it but I can't say what as it would be VERY outing of anyone from work saw it.

BloggersBlog · 08/12/2019 18:17

@xmaspartybull I charged at them like a bull and knocked them over Grin Grin

Mummytoonlychild · 08/12/2019 18:17

And HR would not do anything about it because it wasn't in work time and this person has received complaints before and been swept under the rug. This person is currently breaking the work rules about relationships and nobody cares @GnomeDePlume it would cause to many issues in the long run as they can make my life extremely difficult and there would be nothing I could do about it

zestyflavour · 08/12/2019 18:18

JapaneseBirdPainting - and the CEO got put on the pub watch list.

This is just brilliant...LOL!

LH1987 · 08/12/2019 18:28

Don't worry about it, it happens to someone every year and we have all been there and embarrassed ourselves at some function or another. Also you probably weren't as bad as you think you were! Just walk in tomorrow be ready to laugh at yourself and it will be forgotten in a week.
