AIBU to be shit scared of BJ winning the next election?

Not sure how everyone else is doing, but I am just increasingly terrified about the idea that BJ and the likes of Jacob Rees-Morgan, Ian Duncan Smith (god they are just so disgusting Angry) are going to win this election. Got family in Australia and this morning it was raining ash and people literally can't breathe. The Tories are going to do nothing, zero, nada about climate change. And when I look at my kids I just don't know how we are going to survive another five years. and don't get my started about the state of the kid's school - the teachers are doing their best, but the reality is it's a shit show bc of how many cuts they have had. Friends are going canvassing for Labour and me and DH are doing our bit too - but it all just feels surreal - BJ talks shit, tells lies, and has reinvented himself as "new" when the fucker has been IN GOVT for years. Any got any ideas on how we can turn this around?

@CendrillonSings could you address the questions in my original post? The murial, definition ect. Or are you a bot that can only post a very limited argument?

ImGoingToBangYourHeadsTogether · 06/12/2019 19:35

@LeaderoftheAteam I've come to the same conclusion re antisemitism. I asked for concrete examples of practical prejudice suffered by Jews by Corbyn, and Williamson, and so on. There was nothing, only a picture and a few times he spoke to people engaged in ongoing war in the middle east while trying to bring about negotiations there. I do not doubt that hate crimes are increasing in Britain, against Jews as well as other groups. I do not doubt violence, and unneeded violence related to nothing more than power politics and social status at that, is on the increase. However if I was ever asked to provide concrete practical examples of prejudice practiced against either working class people or women in this country I would have no trouble doing so. There's an interesting counterpoint in this article from Michael Rosen. There is an awful lot of manipulation of news and information going on, and it is that that is pushing this anti-semitism campaign among others. voxpoliticalonline.com/2019/12/03/jewish-former-childrens-laureate-michael-rosen-is-voting-labour-here-he-explains-why/

BJ is nothing more than a liar and a scheming manipulating self-serving liar at that. He has his own interests at heart, and his own interests are in power for power's sake. I found this current BBC article informative and to the point, where he calls Major's view that we need decent and principled talent in the House of Commons 'outdated'. That's what we'll get if he's put in power - it will cause the final death of democracy in the UK, in favour of power systems led by social connection and birth once again. www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2019-50687225

Willowcat77 · 06/12/2019 19:35

@CendrillonSings Do you ever post anything other than right wing propaganda?

KeithPartridge · 06/12/2019 19:36

Octopus how the fuck is Corbyn going to destroy the country? 163 renowned economists and lawyers wrote to the Financial Times and said they BACKED the Labour manifesto and that it would benefit everyone in the UK.

So how the fuck is Labour going to destroy the country? Prey tell I'm all ears.

CendrillonSings · 06/12/2019 19:37

The dossier from the Jewish Labour Movement is right-wing propaganda now, is it? I think you’re proving their point!

John1971 · 06/12/2019 19:37

Come on Boris, tell us about the 320,000 homeless people in the UK at this present time. We know you've only been in the job a few months - but what about the previous 9 1/2 years of Consevative government?

KeithPartridge · 06/12/2019 19:38

So answer my question, Cendrillon instead of copying your joke of a leader and acting like a gutless wonder.

Why are you supporting a party that got into bed with the political wing of the UVF...the most vicious killers the island of Ireland has ever seen? Why are you supporting THAT?

AdalindMeisner · 06/12/2019 19:41

I am with you. Can I please ask people vote for policies not personalities. You may not like JC or Jo Swinson et al, but please, please, please read all the manifestos and use those to decide what you want for the future for you and your children. Consider if your child became seriously ill could you afford to pay for chemo etc I know I couldn't, please consider things like this. I may not like JC massively but I like the fact that if my child needed life saving treatment we currently have a system that would do all it could to save my child. I do not for one moment believe with the conservatives that this amazing service would remain.

LeaderoftheAteam · 06/12/2019 19:43

@ImGoingToBangYourHeadsTogether @KeithPatridge so thankful there are others with the same difficulties that I face in the onslaught of propaganda. Often seems like BJ has endless support on here so refreshing to see that I am not alone.

CendrillonSings · 06/12/2019 19:45

Oh Keith, you're going to bring up terrorism in Ireland as a defence of Jeremy Corbyn? That's a ... brave move:

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/victims-of-ira-terror-tell-jeremy-corbyn-to-apologise-dn32lr8bj

Nearly 40 victims of IRA atrocities have called on Jeremy Corbyn to apologise for his support for Irish republicanism, accusing the Labour leader of “giving succour” to terrorists.

In an open letter to mark the 35th anniversary of the Brighton bombing, the families of the dead demand that he condemn the terrorist campaign waged by the IRA in the 1970s and 1980s.

Corbyn has repeatedly failed to do so, saying only that he condemns “all bombing”.

The letter has been signed by 38 people who lost loved ones or were injured in 25 attacks that collectively killed more than 100 people and wounded more than 750.

They include relatives of the dead in some of the IRA’s worst atrocities, including the bombings at Hyde Park,…

This is the man you want to be Prime Minister! God help us all.

GreenishMe · 06/12/2019 19:47

Often seems like BJ has endless support on here so refreshing to see that I am not alone.

That isn't necessarily the case - it's just that many see him as a lesser evil than JC.

Everyone has their own viewpoint, and everyone is entitled to their own viewpoint.

John1971 · 06/12/2019 19:47

You let Holly give you a grilling, what about that nice Mr. Neil?
You don't want people to think you're a coward surely?

ImGoingToBangYourHeadsTogether · 06/12/2019 19:47

I feel the same way @LeaderoftheAteam. There is so much crap out there, repeated ad nauseam, sometimes by those who are quite capable of thinking more about the words they repeat. Questioning the 'given line' in any way gets you called all names under the sun too nowadays. It's made me more sympathetic to Brexiteers I have to say!

Alsohuman · 06/12/2019 19:48

The support isn’t endless and it’s challenged all the time. Usually with facts, statistics and evidence - which is ignored with very little coming back in the other direction.

Swirls1111 · 06/12/2019 19:49

If you’re not scared, you have not being paying enough attention. YANBU

KeithPartridge · 06/12/2019 19:51

Yeah I asked you why you support a party that got into bed with the political wing of a group that killed FIVE HUNDRED PEOPLE! Five hundred. And I would like a fucking answer please!

KeithPartridge · 06/12/2019 19:53

@CendrillonSings why do you support the Tory party that has aligned itself with the political wing of the UVF terrorist group that has MURDERED FIVE HUNDRED IRISH PEOPLE?

i literally feel the same about labour and i have always hated the rotors but JC is dangerous

KeithPartridge · 06/12/2019 20:03

So you lot would condemn people to homeless shelters, food banks and the fucking STREETS because you don't like one person?

Sigh,,..there really is no way you can reason with STUPID.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 06/12/2019 20:03

Oh, and the contempt MaoDonnell holds for the young?

AIBU to be shit scared of BJ winning the next election?
ImGoingToBangYourHeadsTogether · 06/12/2019 20:04

How is JC dangerous?

How is he more dangerous than an economy in which work no longer pays? More dangerous than an economy with so many people, even those in work, relying on foodbanks to survive? With so many homeless? More dangerous than a country with no police, or with no recourse to law and order for most? Where employment rights have been pretty much wiped out in theory and entirely so in fact? More dangerous than a country where the only thing that now matters is social connections to pre-existing wealth?

MistyCloud · 06/12/2019 20:06

@thentherewerefour

YANBU to feel this, as you are entitled to feel how/what you wish.

But Jeremy Corbyn (and the current Labour Party) would be no better, truly.

Millions of Labour supporters - many who have always voted Labour - will not vote for them now (with Corbyn in charge.) And they cannot ALL be wrong. No matter how much the far-left sing his praises.

The Labour Party are broken and generally fucked. Sadly, they (AND their frothing supporters,) are nothing more than a radical, far left, belligerent, pugnacious bunch of individuals, and this is why they have lost millions of supporters.

Many Corbynites are the most unpleasant, argumentative, rude, obnoxious individuals I have ever encountered. Hissing at, and attacking and berating ANYONE who doesn't agree with their far-left, radical views; calling them bigoted, daily mail readers, thick, and vile.

And also claiming they are disgusted with anyone who votes conservative, and that conservative supporters should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, and there's a special place in hell for them blah blah blah. Batshit some of them are. Utterly batshit.

Conservatives will win this election. And it pisses me off, because I fucking HATE them, and I blame Corbyn and his far-left cronies for ruining the Labour party!

Who am I gonna vote for next week? Not sure. But it ain't gonna be Labour or Conservative for sure...

And don't bother with the 'if the cap fits' bollocks (when referring to my comments above about how the 'far left' talk about people who don't think like them!) It's old and tired now, just like the nasty shitty comments corbynites keep spewing up about people who don't agree with everything they say!
