To think 80% of the people on here are pretty rude & mean

It seems most things I post on here, the responses are just filled with rude, sarcastic people. So are the things I read on other people's responses. If you don't agree with someone or their posts bother you, don't comment just move on 😒

I agree, there are some kind responses but they are few and far between.
It's because people are anonymous and so can get away with being dismissive and rude.

The person who accused the bereaved mother of being insincere was fucking vile. Mainly I just find people respond with views which balance out.

I once posted about leaving a job within a short amount of time and got loads of vicious replies saying I was a drain on the NHS and a terrible person and they told me to reconsider. Yeahhhh...left that stupid job anyway.

You know that a significant proportion of registered users are lurkers rather than posters, and some posters are more active than others? I find it hard to believe that you can calculate the proportion of 'nasty people on MN'.

Well there's no consequence fir mild bullying on here as it's anonymous on both sides.
I don't think people are nice on certain topics because they can get away with it !
