To ask you to guess my age from 5 facts..

So this one was going round the pub the other night and I thought it was a lot of fun. And actually quite thought provoking. So... can you guess my age from these 5 facts.

1. I legally bought cigarettes at 16... and had them in the smoking room at work.
2. my first concert was a Smash hits tour headlining Sean Maguire and Boyzone
3. I paid tuition fees at university
4. my favourite outfit as a pre-teen was from tammy girl
5. I have no IT qualifications, including GCSEs. I never had a dedicated 'IT' subject on my school timetable.

So what year was I born???

41 ... I didn't pay fees but the rest sounded like my youth (not that I smoked)

Though I had IT lessons and I must be older than you because I didn't pay fees and got a grant!

Incidentally, you could take computer studies as an O level in the early 1970s - by 1976 there were about 3000 entrants in the UK.

I think only because I'm somwhere in between and have younger siblings too.

Sounds similar to me, except I had IT at school. I was 1985.

Fraid no @RB68, I guessed on the 5 facts like the thread title said.

@Alsohuman - the rationing gave it away, although it’s strange to think now that rationing continued so long after the war ended.

I'm 1986 and all those apply to me apart from maybe the IT one but I can't remember if that was the case or not.
