To ask you to guess my age from 5 facts..

So this one was going round the pub the other night and I thought it was a lot of fun. And actually quite thought provoking. So... can you guess my age from these 5 facts.

  1. I legally bought cigarettes at 16... and had them in the smoking room at work.
  2. my first concert was a Smash hits tour headlining Sean Maguire and Boyzone
  3. I paid tuition fees at university
  4. my favourite outfit as a pre-teen was from tammy girl
  5. I have no IT qualifications, including GCSEs. I never had a dedicated 'IT' subject on my school timetable.

So what year was I born???

How about my mum I like this game !!!
She remembers rationing
She was not evacuated during the war
She left school at 15 and had to leave her job when she got married
She wore a liberty bodice as a child and there was no central heating then in her house
She remembers the queens coronation and they had a street party ??????
anyone guess

And here is my sisters lol
She does not remember the queens silver jubilee
She wore shell suits as a teenager
She was able to take packed lunch to primary school as an option other than school dinners
Her favourite programme as a child was the A Team
She remembers records and record players the first time round!

I'm 1981 (38) and I did IT GCSE, It was new so I'm guessing you must be around my age. I also shopped in Tammy and remember Sean and Boyzone being huge,reading smash hits (think I even went to one of the shows) though I didn't like them so Im going to guess 39/40.

I was going to guess only slightly younger then me, but you say GCSEs, rather then O levels/ CSEs..

OK here goes:

I had computer lessons at secondary school.

There was a problem with gangs in urban areas.

Like many children, I was obsessed with outer space and there was a lot of Sci Fi on the TV.

Children were quite scared of being abducted and murdered.

We did PE outside in our vest and knickers.
