I do my shopping at Aldi but have never really tried their wine. I'd like to ask you for recommendations for your favourite or go to wine from Aldi for my next shop Grin

If you like white, they do a lovely Portuguese wine called Animus Vinho Verde. Very nice with fish, seafood, chicken, salads but also very drinkable on its own as it’s light and refreshing and goes down very easily! Grin

My DH loves their Banrock Station Merlot. I'm not a huge wine fan but would still say it's very nice. It's about £4.50 a bottle too.

Their Gavi is spot on - definitely the best of their white Italians.

Yes the Toro Loco is a really good red. I like their Malbec but can’t remember which one. The Project Sauvignon Blanc is lovely. The only bad wines I’ve had from there have been Roses and German wines (which I like some of elsewhere)

I buy cases of Cotes du Rhone Villages at Aldi. This is our 'house red'. It's less than a fiver a bottle which is at least £3 less than other supermarkets.

The project sav blanc was delicious the other week. Only one I’ve tried from there but will definitely be getting a couple more bottles of that for over Christmas 😊

The Exquisite range Argentine Malbec is phenomenal value at £5.99 a bottle. Other examples of this quality are easily around the £10 mark.

Get the app ‘wot wine’ and see what it tells you. Independent group of wine expert people review supermarket wine and say what they’d pay for it. German discounters do very very well competed to the big 4.

So, cremant d’alsace is worth 133% of cost, from chile the o grande red is 125%, South Oz exqui Pinot Noir 123%- £6.50 worth £8.

I only drink white but their Gavi is a great one and the Marlborough sauce blanc is very good although I've not seen it in my Aldi for a few weeks now I think of it.

Second the Malbec.

My dad, who thinks he's a wine snob, really rates it.

I like that 'what the expert would pay' measure. My pinot gris is valued +47% on cost. I like it even more now Grin
