I do my shopping at Aldi but have never really tried their wine. I'd like to ask you for recommendations for your favourite or go to wine from Aldi for my next shop Grin

The organic Prosecco is very good

Singlebutmarried · 01/12/2019 09:38

There’s an organic Pinot Grigio in a stubby shaped bottle that’s lovely. There’s a Prosecco in the same shaped bottle as well.

Both lovely

Also second the toro loco (I bought it because of the name)

AliasGrape · 01/12/2019 09:39

The Albariño is lovely, they don’t always have it in though.

piefacedClique · 01/12/2019 09:40

Their cremant is amazing.... about £8 and a really drinkable expensive tasting fizz 🥂🥂🥂

Ooops, I got the name wrong, it's Rockstone Ridge Merlot.

IndigoHexagon · 01/12/2019 13:35

The Toro Loco rose is also really good. It featured (Saturday Kitchen I think) on a wine segment and cake out as one of the better supermarket rose wines you can buy.

SundayShawl · 01/12/2019 13:37

Another vote for the Andarra Chilian merlot - the sauvignon blanc is very nice too

TinklyLittleLaugh · 01/12/2019 13:40

The silver label Prosecco is very nice.

hiphiphoorayback · 01/12/2019 13:42

The Exquisite range Argentine Malbec is phenomenal value at £5.99 a bottle.

I have bought a bottle of this today instead of my usual Toro Loco! Grin

Jfw82 · 01/12/2019 15:58

Another one for the Pinot gris

raspberryk · 01/12/2019 16:01

Malbec with the blue label is lovely

NoGravyForYou · 01/12/2019 16:11

Freeman's Bay. I'm not a Sauvignon blanc drinker really but that one was lovely.

FastAway · 01/12/2019 16:14

I love their Fiano.

They do a whispering angel dupe called something like Les Fleuris, in a very elaborate bottle. I usually get the rose but I got the sparkling yesterday, yet to have. The rose is DELICIOUS though so definitely recommend.

Heymummee · 01/12/2019 16:23

The Argentinian Malbec is my favourite. They also do a lovely dry sparkling rose, but I can’t remember what it’s called.

roiseandjim · 01/12/2019 16:24

They have a lush Pinot noir

TwoBlueFish · 01/12/2019 16:29

They have a really nice Chilean Pinot noir at the moment. Esteves Reserva I think it’s called.

mrsbyers · 01/12/2019 16:30

The Malbec is good , for me the Toro Loco is gut rot

I’m a big fan of Sainsbury’s wine their own label stuff - never had a bad bottle and great value

augenie39 · 11/12/2019 06:03

Ahhhh thanks all, will be picking and trying these on my weekly shop's GrinGrin

the Fleurie is a lovely light red

UnaOfStormhold · 11/12/2019 06:36

There's a very nice pinot noir/chardonnay blend (a white) which is worth a try.

Frangipanini · 27/04/2020 16:55

I'm bringing this thread back to life as I am a total Aldi convert during this lock down. I am no longer prepared to be ripped off in Tesco and Waitrose.

Suzie6789 · 27/04/2020 17:00

I love the limestone coast unpacked Chardonnay, and DH likes both Toro Loco’s.

Suzie6789 · 27/04/2020 17:00

Unoaked - not unpacked!

onanothertrain · 27/04/2020 17:10

The malbec with the blue top is one of my favourites.

FlamingoAndJohn · 27/04/2020 17:15

Toro Loco organic.
