To ask if anyone is voting for the GREEN PARTY, in the upcoming General Election?

Just that really.........

I see some posters say they are voting Conservative, some saying they are voting Labour, and some saying none of those two, (and will probably vote Lib-Dem rather than for Conservative or Labour.)

But I have seen no-one yet saying they are voting Green. (Maybe someone has, but I just haven't seen it.) Blush

Is anyone going to be voting for the Green Party? Vote YANBU for YES and YABU for No.

Thanks for taking part Smile

Sucked into the culture war that is the purity spiral.

Round here it is a Lib Dem /tory marginal so obviously I am voting Lib Dem. Green vote would be wasted and anyway they have stepped down here to help the Lib Dem's.

However I did vote for them in the euros and was delighted that they got their first nw MEP.

Frazzled2207 · 01/12/2019 13:20

I understand they have a few targets other than Brighton this time round though where they have a good chance of winning. If I lived in any of those I would vote for them definitely. I hope they end up with more than 1 seat.

aintnothinbutagstring · 01/12/2019 13:25

I wouldn't vote for them but they have no candidate standing in my constituency anyway, we just have the three main parties and the monster raving loony party.

User342109097569098 · 01/12/2019 13:25

Yes live in a labour stronghold so doesn’t matter who I vote for

1066vegan · 01/12/2019 13:35

No. I might in local elections and would consider it in a general election if we had PR. I like their policies, love Caroline Lucas but at the moment it would be a wasted vote and I can't afford to do that, especially in this election.

Nubbled · 01/12/2019 14:02

There is no Green candidate here. I live in a SNP stronghold so they didn't bother.

GlitchStitch · 01/12/2019 14:11

No they are nuts. How can anyone take seriously a party that claims to be all about science and rationality on climate change whilst simultaneously stating that some women can have penises.

And that's before getting into the shit show of the Aimee Challenor debacle and how those who tried to raise safeguarding concerns were kicked out of the party, and the fact that seem to have been infiltrated by shouty misogynists telling women to get in the bin etc.

ManiacalLapwing · 01/12/2019 14:22

No, I am in a marginal seat so I need to vote Labour to keep the Tories out. If it was a safe seat either way I would vote Green.

BlackeyedSusan · 01/12/2019 14:33

Aimee Challenor.
So. No.

bellinisurge · 01/12/2019 14:38

Self-ID/ Challinor nonsense stops me from doing so.

Skyejuly · 01/12/2019 14:40

I've voted green every time I vote but am voting labour this time.

Picklypickles · 01/12/2019 14:57

I usually always vote Green but will be voting labour this time.

fedup21 · 01/12/2019 15:04

No-I am voting for the candidate most likely to beat the Tory candidate, which is Labour.

Alconleigh · 01/12/2019 15:11

As per many PP, No, due to non men, Aimee Challenor and utter hardwired misogyny. Mind you, it's shocking trying to find a party to vote for which aren't gleeful in their desire to throw women under the bus.

EagleVisionSquirrelWork · 01/12/2019 15:23

I've voted Green in local elections but I wish they would stand down in my constituency for this general election as they're going to split the left wing vote. I'll be voting Libdem in the hope of getting rid of an appallingly useless Tory incumbent. What I actually want is a Labour government but I would be very happy to see an increase in the number of Green MPs.

I get the concern about self-ID, non-men, etc, but the only party who make no mention of this kind of thing in their manifesto is the Tories and it's not because they're feminists ffs. Let's get them out before we start to debate the detail of what differentiates the other parties imo.

BlaueLagune · 01/12/2019 15:31

There's no point where I live. But if you live in Brighton please vote for Caroline Lucas (I don't think there are any other areas where the Greens have a chance).

RuffleCrow · 01/12/2019 17:19

Is that the same Caroline Lucas who supports self id, thinks TWAW and endorses the legalisation of men's 'right' to buy women's bodies, @BlaueLagune ?
