Here it is. Utterly beyond belief. How is it possible that women chose to vote for him.

The Mirror is evidence? Hmm

Confusedbeetle · 28/11/2019 13:04

Can we please stop treating politicians like this. If you were up there would your whole past stand up to minute scrutiny? What if your job was affected by every little tittle tattle. This is not the basis for your vote. If it was you would vote for no one. Less Facebook rubbish and more assessing the best PARTY to take the country where you want it to be

EmmaGellerGreen · 28/11/2019 13:05

Same story in the Independent if that suits you better. Quoting a piece he wrote for the Spectator.

As far as I can see neither Jeremy Corbyn or Jo Swinson likes women either.

Solihooley · 28/11/2019 13:08

Of course he does, we all knew that didn’t we? Bit of a hypocrite considering he’s fathered 1 or 2 (no one knows) illegitimate children himself.

EmmaGellerGreen · 28/11/2019 13:09

How can we disregard previously written articles? There is absolutely no evidence that he he changed his abhorrent views. He wasn’t a teenager when he wrote those words, he was a highly educated journalist.

Using left wing papers as evidence, is like using a Daily Mail article to head Corbyn to count.

EmmaGellerGreen · 28/11/2019 13:12

Quoting his own words, written in a paper that he edited?

Wow. Tories out in force today!

YANBU, not at all. Sadly, a lot of women hate women too.

magoria · 28/11/2019 13:18

None of the parties give a shit about women or women's rights.

KidLorneRoll · 28/11/2019 13:21

"Can we please stop treating politicians like this"

Like what? Expecting them to be half-decent people?

Nope. Boris is a fucking arsehole of the highest order.

JassyRadlett · 28/11/2019 13:22

My professional life and my work record, when applying for a job I wanted to do?

Yes, I’m pretty comfortable that it would.

This isn’t having a joint at a private party. This is writing things in print for work.

Auberjean · 28/11/2019 13:22

Wow. That independent article. Please god don't let him get in.

RuffleCrow · 28/11/2019 13:22

I can count the politicians who do like women on one hand

AnneLovesGilbert · 28/11/2019 13:24

He sucks. But Jo Swinson doesn’t even know what a woman is so we’re shit out of options.

Dissimilitude · 28/11/2019 13:24

Desperate stuff.

Everyone knows Boris has written some dodgy columns - he was an opinion journalist.

No one cares. It's baked into his poll ratings already.

KidLorneRoll · 28/11/2019 13:25

"No one cares."

True, and that's why, despite everything, the tories are going to get a majority and fuck this country up even more, if that is possible.

PrinnyPree · 28/11/2019 13:25

No YANBU people need to wake up, if Corbyn said anything close to what Johnson has he'd be hung drawn and quartered. Johnson gets away with the things he personally says (and certainly never held responsible for the views of his party) yet Corbyn is held to account for the views of other people!

I cannot see why anyone especially those earning less than £80k a year would even think of voting Tory.

EvaHarknessRose · 28/11/2019 13:28

A columnist did a piece on a past novel he wrote. It was excruciatingly sexist and objectifying of the female characters.

Pukkatea · 28/11/2019 13:28

Once upon a time politicians were supposed to be beyond reproach - for practical reasons such as blackmail, and less practical ones like attempting to not be a buffoon laughed off the international stage. I know they never actually were, but it's part of the basic job of a politician whose role is to spin, present, advocate and lead, and appearances are everything. If a politician can't keep up appearances, it makes me question their competency in the actual hard part of the job, and other people too, hence why 'scandals' tend to lead to resignations.

Now, BoJo the clown seems to get a free pass because, now that people have realised what a personal liability he is, suddenly they have to say it doesn't matter else the horse they backed will be out of the race.

MadameButterface · 28/11/2019 13:30

Tbf that article was written before he fathered his one (or two) illegitimate children, and split from his first baby mama thus creating five (or six) children of single mothers to add to the rest of the oiks. Perhaps he had a change of heart like that time in 2016 when he wanted to be PM then didn’t or that time he said we were definitely doing a brexit on halloween then we didn’t or that time when he said that leave deal was shit then the week after it wasn’t or that time him and his girlfriend were scrapping like cats and dogs then all lovey dovey the next day
