Such a relief for all of us especially for our children who would have been saddled with our debt under Corbyn’s plan

Craft and Yappy need to go and set up home together. Can worship their populist idols together whilst the rest of us vote for a decent society. Jesus. Never voted? How old are you, 12?

AliceAbsolum · 28/11/2019 09:15

Oh me too, terrified of Jezza getting in. #VoteTory

Iggly · 28/11/2019 09:16

Debt has increased massively under the Tories despite the austerity.

So the question for me is WTF have they done with our money?

LightsInOtherPeoplesHouses · 28/11/2019 09:19

Why didn't Labour get rid of Corbyn get someone better and less controversial in

You think the right wing rags wouldn't have found something about any other leader? Look what they did to Ed Milliband.

Userzzzzz · 28/11/2019 09:21

OP- you shouldn’t assume high earners are all more worried about Labour. My husband and i are much more worried about what a harsh Brexit will do to our jobs and had a discussion a few days ago about at what point we would consider emigrating. We would have less money under Labour but we might not have jobs if Brexit causes economic chaos. I also don’t believe Labour could get a majority to implement its policies but the Conservatives approach to Brexit is much more likely to happen and is much more frightening for me.

OPTIMUMMY · 28/11/2019 09:22

I feel sorry for you Craft because you are voting against your own interests and you are clinging on to what you think you know about the economy instead of just doing a bit of independent research- I’m not talking about going to look at pro- labour stuff I mean genuinely balanced fact checking which would let you see that labour didn’t stuff up the economy, and that no amount of saving would have shielded us from the crash. The reason I can’t understand your position about labour causing the austerity is because I paid attention both at the time and now, and have done my homework instead of getting sucked into the propaganda peddled by so called newspapers. If you have children you will be better off under labour - they will get free school meals, and child benefit will not be capped at two children, and there will be more access to childcare. The investment in the nhs and the measures taken to deal with climate change will create jobs and will put more money into our economy. If you care about the future for your children you need to make sure that climate change and the nhs are your priorities.

Samcro · 28/11/2019 09:32

yabu
but then the conservatives don't like children like mine...as in disabled

StoneofDestiny · 28/11/2019 09:36

High earning does not mean you have to be devoid of social conscience. Some of us manage to have both and no way should Johnson be anywhere near Parliament unless before a Select Committee scrutinising his deceit.

mummmy2017 · 28/11/2019 09:44

So if the Tory Party cut spending, which we all know they did and the National debt has still increased, then if they had not cut spending we would be massively in more debt.
So if Labour get in and spend spend spend, in 5 years we repeat the Labour get chucked out as people are feed up of out of control spending, then you leave the Tory's having to implement spending cuts.
Oh look the nasty Tory's can't spend they have to make cuts.

Omashu · 28/11/2019 09:47

You’re a fool.

wildnightmares · 28/11/2019 09:50

@Craft74 gads

Katharinblum · 28/11/2019 09:51

Labour invested millions in the uk's crumbling infrastructure after years of neglect under thatcher et al. Do you remember the state of schools in 1997 ?

Cloverbeauty · 28/11/2019 09:54

There isn't a single party I trust to run the country, so I don't care who gets in; its going to be awful whichever party wins.

This. It makes no difference, none of them care, they all have their own agenda and it is not to make things better for us. Never has been, never will be.

Tobythecat · 28/11/2019 09:54

Oh fuck off you privileged twat.

Pukkatea · 28/11/2019 09:55

I just don't get how anyone can look at the UK right now and say yep, things looking great, I want more of this.

There is nothing inherently bad about Conservative politics, which is at its heart just a different way of trying to achieve things, but my God this current lot have done a great job of screwing everything up and achieving nothing.

At some point you have to stop blaming the party that hasn't been in power for a decade and look to the one that has.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 28/11/2019 09:57

@mummy2017 The UK’s national debt has tripled under the Toried yet they allow the big companies to pay virtually no tax. You are talking nonsense.

mummmy2017 · 28/11/2019 10:00

If debt has tripple, and spending has been cut for a decade, then upping spending means higher debt.
Oh I forgot Labour has a money tree forest.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 28/11/2019 10:06

No there’s a thing called taxation which can be used. You know, those billions that Amazon, Boots etc don’t pay into the country.

Pukkatea · 28/11/2019 10:07

Except that the problem with the national debt is the deficit (debt as proportion of GDP) which is what austerity was meant to cut, and that has ALSO increased. That means that our economy is not doing as well. Spending plans aim to stimulate consumer spending, investment and exports to increase overall GDP.

Ringdonna · 28/11/2019 10:07

Yep, great news.

Letseatgrandma · 28/11/2019 10:11

Boris was born to be PM. Hard-working, honest, kind

If you vote tory you're voting for more food banks, extended waiting times in the NHS, fantasy doctors and nurses, tax breaks for the rich, a stagnant economy with Brexit, and you're telling the political parties that the way to win an election is to make promises you can't or won't keep and to lie shamelessly.

Collaborate · 28/11/2019 10:13

@mummmy2017 You've forgotten about all those the tories have promised money to in the form of tax cuts and hand outs.www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49097133

LoopyLuck · 28/11/2019 10:14

Not much relief for me I'm afraid.

curlykaren · 28/11/2019 10:18

@mummmy2017 put your copy of the sun down and do some research, you are bordering on financially illiterate.
