Such a relief for all of us especially for our children who would have been saddled with our debt under Corbyn’s plan

OP is new to MN and not posting in good faith. Don't engage.

Bumfuzzled · 27/11/2019 23:45

I think our children will be very angry with us at letting the NHS go to the dogs. And they will be gobsmacked that despite the havoc the Tories have wrought and are planning to wreak on the country we (you) still voted for them. A bit like we look at the Americans voting for Trump. Incredulous.

BIWI · 27/11/2019 23:45

The OP only joined Mumsnet yesterday and their agenda is pretty clear.

Why not have a read of all the other fantastic topics on Mumsnet @Craft74 and see what Mumsnet could offer you? Rather than just come here an spaff your nonsensical Tory rubbish?

AutumnCrow · 27/11/2019 23:45

Bot bot baby

AutumnCrow · 27/11/2019 23:46

Don't engage Absolutely.

Report.

It's a political bot.

Frequency · 27/11/2019 23:47

Do the Tories have to actually take to the streets and start putting bullets in the poor for people to see them for what they are?

People are dying as a direct result of austerity. The Tories have done nothing to address this. Tory austerity was too extreme and too prolonged and actually drew out the recession. Other countries got out of it quicker not because they had more savings, all governments borrow, but because they didn't cut spending to the bone. The national debt has doubled under the tories. And did I mention people are fucking dying?

SilverySurfer · 27/11/2019 23:47

I agree OP, brilliant news. We will be in deep shit if they don't win.

Vote Conservatives!

Craft74 · 27/11/2019 23:48

@LurpakIsTheOnlyButter
No I’m not but the issues you raise are a problem that labour created they spent too much and didn’t save. You can’t get out of their issues by borrowing even more. If labour saved and were prudent we would not have this issue. You need to address these issues to Gordon brown. It is laughable that people can think that overspending can carry on for ever. Also the idea of taxing top earners more (wish I was one) would work is a joke highest earners will piss off out of the country so instead of £100ks of them we have nothing.

That's an insensitive comment considering how many people have died under austerity measures.
A homeless person dies every 19 hours, how much worse do you need to to get before you realise what you are supporting?

OPTIMUMMY · 27/11/2019 23:51

Craft74 the reason the economy was in such a state was due to a Global financial crisis and the clue is in the word Global, it would have happened under the Tories as well because they actually opposed regulation of the banks more than Labour. Prior to this the economy was actually in great shape under labour despite all of the spending or rather investment they were doing, much of which was needed due to prior Tory underfunding. Spending isn’t always bad for the economy, it’s not like household budgeting, you sometimes have to invest and spend to grow an economy. I don’t believe that labour will leave future generations in debt. In the meantime lives are being lost due to austerity whilst the rich get richer.

PickAChew · 27/11/2019 23:52

Hope your kids have good health insurance.

AlexaShutUp · 27/11/2019 23:57

Such a relief for all of us

No, it is not a relief for all of us. I am desperately worried about a Tory majority under Boris. I can't stand Corbyn but Boris is far, far worse. They are both utterly unfit for public office, but I have to choose the lesser of two evils. As I live in a Tory/Labour marginal, I will therefore have to hold my nose and vote Labour.

You sound a bit dim, OP.

Forgotmyfrosties · 27/11/2019 23:58

I usually vote conservative but don’t think a majority is good no, I’m tempted to vote Lib Dem this time and not because I’m a remainer, I voted to leave though regret it...but I want the conservatives to win with a minority or for it to be a coalition with the Lib Dem’s. I’m scared the current government is moving too far to the right and I’m more centre-right

Craft74 · 28/11/2019 00:00

@OPTIMUMMY the reason we were in the position is because labour didn’t save for economic shocks. Other countries did, we didn’t. That is the issue. As we found out yesterday from the Andrew Neil interview JC has no idea where the money will come from and even claimed govt. bonds weren’t debt!!

It's great news but a bit of cautiousness is needed as the polls have narrowed slightly with 2 weeks to go.

Corbyn's totally unfit to be PM. Boris was born to be PM. Hard-working, honest, kind and will get Brexit done.

user1471448556 · 28/11/2019 00:01

Another five years of the Tories will spell the end of the NHS - it’s all on the table for Trump and his pals. If that’s fine with you, go ahead, knock yourself out and vote for arch liar in chief, Johnson ... and own the consequences ... or vote tactically - that’s the choice.

plightofthealbatross · 28/11/2019 00:01

YABU.

Human decency is not part of the Tory platform. Just look around.

Walnutwhipster · 28/11/2019 00:02

ODFOD interesting first post you goady Tory fucker.

SheOfManyNames · 28/11/2019 00:02

MmmHmm.
Can't agree but past caring now. Enjoy what you create.

Craft74 · 28/11/2019 00:03

Boris is flawed but compared to JC there can’t be a comparison. He has very good friends apparently! Generally terrorists

I do hope you're joking. Whatever Boris is or isn't, I hardly think that you can describe him as honest and kind. He's a shameless liar and he doesn't give a shit about anyone other than himself.

fessmess · 28/11/2019 00:06

I do not understand how anyone with a brain cell can vote Tory. Corbyn wants to change this country for the better. You've been brainwashed by the right-wing media (owned by the rich elite). I actually despair. I really do. If Johnson gets a majority we are royally fucked. Big time.
