Such a relief for all of us especially for our children who would have been saddled with our debt under Corbyn’s plan

I think the conservatives have a lot support more than Corbyn who will bankrupt the country with all his overspending

The Tories have managed to increase debt since 2010 despite huge cuts.

Now that is (not) impressive.

Elle7rose · 28/11/2019 17:03

Oh God- yes, yes you are being unreasonable and very stupid.

Elle7rose · 28/11/2019 17:04

See Iggly's post above.

Happyhusband · 28/11/2019 17:16

OP. Labour bailed out the banks at economic gunpoint. In a switch game of mega proportions Cameron and the Tories decided the public sector should pay for saving his banker friends. The NHS will disappear under blojo because he wants to sell it to trump.

Actionhasmagic · 28/11/2019 17:20

YAB VVVVVVV UNREASONABLE

Craft74 · 28/11/2019 18:43

@Iggly the debt has increased as when labour were in power they were running a huge deficit, this deficit has been brought down year on year. If you inherit a huge deficit it takes time to bring it down. If you think the tories should have reduced debt fine but the cuts or tax rises would have been huge. Even labour admitted there was no money left.

Far too many people make decisions based on how they feel.

"What about the kids currently in poverty?"

What does this even mean? We live in an imperfect world.

Thankfully, there aren't that many kids living in genuine, abject poverty in the UK. Those who are have their parents to thank for that.

Yes, having 3 kids to 3 different men while having no skills or qualifications IS in fact your fault, not "society".

Corbyn's plan would not help a SINGLE child in poverty, and it would lead to a hell of a lot more children living in poverty down the road.

MintChocAddict · 28/11/2019 19:23

It's witching hour. The bots have woken up.
Evening, you facist, racist excusing losers

Practicalmagico · 28/11/2019 19:24

YANBU!

areyouawarem8 · 28/11/2019 19:26

Fascism is now defined as opposing Jeremy Corbyn.

What a time to be alive.

Nonnymum · 28/11/2019 19:31

YABVU especially from the point of view of your children who will be faced with a hard Brexit and a Government led by someone who wants power but doesn't care or even understand the needs of 'ordinary families'

longwayoff · 28/11/2019 19:33

Grin hysterical laughter seems an adequate response OP.

I have experienced a few governments over the decades.
Both have their faults and both have their finer points. Generally people have voted according to how their lives have been affected by policies.
I’d love to see the end of bi-partisan politics and have a cabinet that reflects the view of the people. Eg, 42% Tory = 42% of cabinet. That way, meaningful discussions and ideas and policies would be made. Yes it would mean more time taken but the result would be a fairer outcome with compromise.
Loads of right leaning voters would like some lefty policies and vice versa . Similarly many on both sides appreciate the middle stance.
I’m tired of politics now... but angry that the lies, on all sides, are too prevalent.
Appalled that Johnson was even considered to lead the Conservatives, given his track record, both professionally and privately, Labour won’t win under Corbyn... too much damage and Swanson has alienated so many people with her intransigence and puerile self belief.
I can’t speak for Wales , Northern Ireland or Scotland.
Just want it all over with and fingers crossed.

MintChocAddict · 28/11/2019 19:44

areyouawarem8 ironic user name incidentally

Fascism is a form of government that is a type of one-party dictatorship. Fascists are against democracy. ... Fascism puts nation and often race above the individual. It stands for a centralized government headed by a dictator. Historically, fascist governments tend to be militaristic, and racist.

Kind of sounds a bit like Boris and his good friends Nigel and Donald. Don't you think?

I notice you didn't object to the racist bit. Again, see Boris, Nigel and Donald

Treaclepie19 · 28/11/2019 19:45

😩
Are you watching the Climate Debate?
Where is this wonderful leader you speak of?
Why couldn't he be arsed turning up?

areyouawarem8 · 28/11/2019 19:45

@MintChocAddict, it sounds absolutely nothing like any of those people. You complete lunatic.

Yappy12 · 28/11/2019 19:46

@fessmess

No have never voted and will be 60 in January. I did vote in the EU ref. though, LEAVE.

CareOfPunts · 28/11/2019 19:47

YANBU as long as you never get old, disabled, lose your job and can’t find another, or otherwise vulnerable. Because if you think the Tories will do anything to help you in any of those situations, you’re deluded.

Yappy12 · 28/11/2019 19:50

I know a London black cabbie and he talks to lots of people every day and the most common thing he's hearing isn't about Brexit but they say that Labour will spend too much and wreck the economy.

LauraBradshaw · 28/11/2019 19:55

Corbyn and Sturgeon and the Lib dems have proved what they are by pushing through laws with the help of Bercow, even though they have not been democratically elected to make new laws.Boris is good friends with the USA and we can further strengthen our position with them by making our own trade deals

KTheGrey · 28/11/2019 19:55

I am really relieved that Puppet of Putin will get a thumping great majority. The London Lie Meister will have a mandate to lead the UK into 20 years of austerity via Brexit and sell the NHS piecemeal to the US. Could not be more delighted Grin

Trewser · 28/11/2019 19:57

PineappleDanish well said.

IAmCatBed · 28/11/2019 19:59

Well done you Yappy12 !!

But honestly, Dominic, you really need to try harder mate... That was pretty lame. It was just too ridiculously and over the top Boris loved up bullshit to be anywhere near believable. My 80 yr old MIL Boris fan could do better and be far more convincing.

MintChocAddict · 28/11/2019 20:02

areyouawarem8
From you that's a compliment.

Yes of course a militaristic racist government lead by a dictator sounds NOTHING like Donald Grin You know, Donald, Boris' pal?

Frenchw1fe · 28/11/2019 20:10

If the conservatives are so worried about the debt why do they let rich people avoid tax?
The NHS was put in place at a time when the country was struggling with war debt but it didn’t have an adverse effect. 163 economists have said the uk would benefit from higher public investment.
@Craft74 I think the conservatives will get in then you can spend 5 years working out who to blame this time for the colossal mess we’ll be in by 2024!
