Do people think Boris Johnson is a leader whose word they can trust?

pressed send too soon! By "the people who should be outraged" I mean the media, the people with power, and those who were manipulated into voting to leave by those same people.

Those who would be outraged will just be "sore losers" blaming Russia and ignoring the will of the people and DEMOCRACY.

midnightmisssuki · 28/11/2019 11:56

Hooray! Another Boris bashing thread. How original Grin

StarbucksSmarterSister · 28/11/2019 11:58

No, every time he opens his mouth a lie falls out.

No, but he’s preferable to an antisemite

He's openly racist, appears to be Islamophobic too and you are kidding yourself if you think he also isn't anti semitic.

BertrandRussell · 28/11/2019 11:58

Makes a bit of a change from the incessant Corbyn bashing ones!

Elbeagle · 28/11/2019 12:04

Yeah, just because he hasn’t actually said anything anti Semitic in public, the fact that he’s openly anti black people, anti Islam, anti homosexuality and anti women means he’s more than likely anti Semitic too.

MarshaBradyo · 28/11/2019 12:06

It’s amazing he gets away with blunt statements that are racist

I know! I haven't seen another one for ages, must be at least ten minutes since I read the last one.

I didn't vote for Boris to be PM and when I vote for the Conservatives on the 12th I won't be voting for Boris but for the Party. The thought of Labour winning the election fills me with dread and horror but I'm pretty confident the Conservatives will win.

Elbeagle · 28/11/2019 12:19

The thing is, does it constitute as ‘bashing’ him when the vast majority of the things being quoted on this thread are fact? He said these things. There is no disputing it. They are in the public domain. If he doesn’t want to be ‘bashed’ for his views, he perhaps shouldn’t have aired them.

wtffgs · 28/11/2019 12:25

Hi Dom 👋🏻

No, no, no, fuckety-no Smile

Alsohuman · 28/11/2019 12:26

How can you bash someone when they do it themselves with every word they utter?

Elbeagle · 28/11/2019 12:27

In fact, as he aired these views in public, I assume he stands by them and wants them known? So in fact we’re doing him a favour, surely?

pigsDOfly · 28/11/2019 12:30

midnightmisssuki I wouldn't be too concerned on Johnson behalf about 'another Boris bashing thread' if I were you.

I'm sure someone with his level of total entitled self believe and arrogance doesn't give a shit what anyone else thinks of him; he's proved that time and time again.

Elbeagle · 28/11/2019 12:32

Well, apart from his billionaire mates that is.

derxa · 28/11/2019 12:33

the fact that he’s openly anti black people, anti Islam, anti homosexuality and anti women means he’s more than likely anti Semitic too. He's not anti anything. He's pro Boris. The things he wrote are shocking and they were meant to be. He's a shock journalist and wrote these things for shock value. I don't endorse him and won't be voting for him.

John1971 · 28/11/2019 12:40

He’s a compulsive liar. Do you know how many children he’s fathered?
No, neither does he.

MaMaMaMySharona · 28/11/2019 14:00

I hope he loses his seat and is forced to resign. He is such a gigantic twat and a threat to our country, I literally cannot believe people are using their one vote to give him power.

Topseyt · 28/11/2019 14:07

No, he isn't trustworthy. He is an arse and a hypocrite.

AlphaJura · 28/11/2019 14:22

No. Has he ever told the truth or kept his word about anything? Lying down on the runway maybe? Dying in a ditch? (If only!). He is also morally suspect in that he has said racist and homophobic comments, he's an awful father and I suspect selfish partner.

Lizzie0869 · 28/11/2019 14:27

Well if you’ve seen today’s polls it suggests that a very large majority of people do think he’s trustworthy.

No it doesn't necessarily mean that at all. For a lot of people, he's the lesser of two evils; the idea of Corbyn in Downing Street is terrifying and anyone, even Boris, is preferable to that.

To answer your question, no, definitely not. I wouldn't trust Boris as far as I can throw him. And I won't be voting Tory either.

GatoFofo · 28/11/2019 14:28

No.
He is an ambitious, selfish, entitled twat.

QuizzlyBear · 28/11/2019 14:35

Sweet Jesus, no!

Bloomburger · 28/11/2019 14:41

No but none of them are. Sturgeon would sell her mother for Scottish independence, I'm not sure Corbyn is actually still with us or is being controlled by an outside entity (JMc & Momentum) and Jo Swinson might be able to fool a lot of people with her caring and the people liberal crap but her voting record proves otherwise. Oh and the Greens you can trust on Greennpolicies, funding them and running the country 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fifilafrog · 28/11/2019 14:45

No.

Sadly, it is a fact that many many people do not have the intellect and/or common sense to see the man for what he really is and have been "charmed" by his oafishness. Either that or they have too much money and therefore will vote Tory.

Have never felt more disappointed with my fellow humans.

curlykaren · 28/11/2019 14:58

Of course Boris Johnson is antisemitic. The conservative party have also previously used the weaponisation of antisemitism as a election tactic.
