Do people think Boris Johnson is a leader whose word they can trust?

OP posts:
ARoomWithoutADoor · 27/11/2019 19:48

You REALLY need to ask? NO.
He's a serial liar who has been sacked for it a number of times, has unacknowledged children and cannot be faithful in his personal life either. Not someone to trust with the important affairs of state clearly.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 27/11/2019 19:48

Ha! Fuck no. He doesn't know/admit to how many kids he's got, why do people think he can run a country?!

SheSnapsThenSheFarts · 27/11/2019 19:49

No no no no no no no no.

No.

No.

Merryoldgoat · 27/11/2019 19:49

Everyone knows the answer to this.
The real question is why don't people care?

Yup - this is what I keep saying.

ThanosSavedMe · 27/11/2019 19:49

Nope. Not one bit. He is a known liar. Don’t know why people like him

AnnaFiveTowns · 27/11/2019 19:50

😂

Bunney2020 · 27/11/2019 19:50

No but the man is made of teflon and people buy into his utter bullshit and abhorrent practices so it doesn't matter.

firawla · 27/11/2019 19:51

No, at this point he is just a proven liar. He will only go for his own interests and tell whoever’s listening what he thinks they want to hear. He is our local mp, and trust for him is really dropping. He has his people out canvassing at the moment whereas we never had Tory campaigners knocking for years before, as it was seen as such a safe seat

AnnaFiveTowns · 27/11/2019 19:51

He doesn't even try to hide the fact that he's a lying bastard. People don't seem to care. It's like Trump all over again.

NoHummus · 27/11/2019 19:51

Haha! No, he lies about everything.

NoHummus · 27/11/2019 19:52

Hopefully he'll lose his seat.

TheoriginalLEM · 27/11/2019 19:53

Remember when he painted himself as a happiness, harmless happy chappy on shows like hignfy? I saw through him then.

Dangerous

humblesims · 27/11/2019 19:53

Er.. its a no from me.

churchandstate · 27/11/2019 19:54

I trust him to act in his own interest, no further.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 27/11/2019 19:55

This has got to be a wind up?

RusholmeRuffian · 27/11/2019 19:55

100% not

AlexaShutUp · 27/11/2019 19:56

Obviously not, but I thought everyone knew that already. The issue that we have is that a significant proportion of the electorate appear not to care.

pigsDOfly · 27/11/2019 19:56

No.

When I heard on the news tonight Corbyn claiming that he has proof that America wants in on our NHS in exchanged for trade deals, and then listened to Johnson stating categorically and emphatically that it will never happen, I know for sure that if Johnson is involved in setting up trade deals with America we will lose our NHS.

He's an unprincipled liar. He will say absolutely anything he thinks will get him what he wants whilst knowing full well that he will ultimately break any promise or undertaking he makes.

Livelovebehappy · 27/11/2019 19:58

Well if you’ve seen today’s polls it suggests that a very large majority of people do think he’s trustworthy. Smile

MrsMaiselsMuff · 27/11/2019 19:58

And yes I trust him to deliver his manifesto promises

Like the 50,000 nurses that is actually closer to 20,000.

Or the 40 new hospitals that is really six.

Or the 20,000 more police officers without mentioning that they've cut that many?

I'm assuming you're being sarcastic?

MrsMaiselsMuff · 27/11/2019 19:59

Well if you’ve seen today’s polls it suggests that a very large majority of people do think he’s trustworthy.

What does it tell us about those people? It's not even like we don't have categorical proof of his lengthy record of lies.

rosie39forever · 27/11/2019 20:01

He'd stab his own grandmother in the back to further his own agenda, he cares not one bit for anyone but himself... but people will still vote for him because he's bumbling, silly Boris. They say the people get the government they deserve well if that's the case we must all have done some seriously nasty shit to deserve this shower.

colouringinpro · 27/11/2019 20:02

No no no no no no no no no no.

Why TF does he have such a big majority SadAngryGin

rosie39forever · 27/11/2019 20:07

Because people are lazy and do what the Sun/Mail/Express/Telegraph tell them to do, no thought required.

starfishcoffee · 27/11/2019 20:10

Hell no.
