Do people think Boris Johnson is a leader whose word they can trust?

OP posts:
OddBoots · 27/11/2019 21:24

If he could be trusted then he wouldn't have to have the government suppress the Russian interference report until after the election and he would be able to withstand proper journalistic scrutiny.

WatchoutfortheROUS · 27/11/2019 21:25

Of course not!

ArseDarkly · 27/11/2019 21:25

Clearly not, but for some reason that doesn't seem to be the point. He will get in and it will be a catastrophe but those who voted him in will never accept that it was their fault.

MaMaMaMySharona · 27/11/2019 21:30

Can anyone tell me what will happen if the tories get in, and then the Russia report is released and proves there was interference in the previous election/referendum?

Hedgehogparty · 27/11/2019 21:35

Deceitful arrogant pompous.
Racist, misogynist
Is that enough?

EustaciaPieface · 27/11/2019 21:37

No, of course not.

StoneofDestiny · 27/11/2019 21:39

Not at all - just look at his actions, listen to what he says. A total liar.

StoneofDestiny · 27/11/2019 21:41

Not sure which one to tick for he cannot be trusted.

Aroundnabout1 · 27/11/2019 21:45

Sorry, Johnson is untrustworthy but i found the voting hard to understand?? U need to do another one. "Boris J is a twat. YABU/YANBU".

IfIShouldFallFromGraceWithGod · 27/11/2019 21:47

Which vote says he is untrustworthy

Elodie2019 · 27/11/2019 21:50

No no no no no.
No

OrangeCinnamon · 27/11/2019 21:50

How does your poll work? It makes no sense...ill admit to reading first two pages only..on my mobile so cant do full thread

Autumnfresh · 27/11/2019 21:58

I think he is the least trustworthy of anyone running. I also think he is the most educated and most charming.

I suspect he will be fine as people sing better the devil you know.

His career has been a trajectory to PM. He has lied, cheated, walked over people and lied again. He has reached his goal maybe we’ll see the back of him now.

Power corrupts and he is power hungry.

Greenmarmalade · 27/11/2019 22:00

No

RedSheep73 · 27/11/2019 22:21

Well obviously not. Even Boris Johnson doesn't believe what Boris Johnson says.

ilovesooty · 27/11/2019 22:48

I think it's summed by the woman I saw on the TV a few days ago who said "He's probably untrustworthy..." and then went on to say she was going to vote Conservative anyway. She said she liked him because he made it obvious that he was a liar.

StoneofDestiny · 27/11/2019 23:08

Yes I saw that interview. She was clearly thick as a plank to think admitting his capacity for lying absolved him of the culpability. Who on earth wants a proven liar, serial philanderer, admitted racist and amoral eejit as our Prime Minister?

pigsDOfly · 27/11/2019 23:26

There's one or two posts on here that seem to reflect some of the reason why he will get back in as PM.

Some people it appears know he's a liar, a cheat and would sell his granny for tuppence, but apparently they also seem to think he's charming and he makes them laugh.

Well that's all right then. Just what you want and need in the leader of the government. Just as long as he makes you laugh, what could possibly go wrong? He makes me feel more like weeping tbh. And the charm? Don't see it myself.

And when we're all up shit creek, will they blame their precious Boris? No of course they won't because he'll tell them it's all the EU's fault and they'll believe him.

Elbeagle · 28/11/2019 11:48

Oh and to add to my list above he also called black people ‘picaninnies with watermelon smiles’ and said children of single mothers are ‘I’ll raised, ignorant, aggressive and illegitimate’.
But yeah. At least he’s not anti Semitic.

Elbeagle · 28/11/2019 11:48

Sorry, ‘ill raised’. Typo.

YouJustDoYou · 28/11/2019 11:49

Well, no politician is trustworthy. So no.

MarshaBradyo · 28/11/2019 11:50

No but it’s easy to see he follows the lies work model

BertrandRussell · 28/11/2019 11:51

I don’t understand why anyone thinks he’s funny. I’ve laughed at some unlikely people’s jokes in my time (Rees-Mogg for one!) but never at Johnson’s.

SheOfManyNames · 28/11/2019 11:51

I didn't vote as I am not sure what option corresponds to my "Hell no" answer.
I wouldn't trust his word if we were both looking at the same clock and he told me the time.

SheOfManyNames · 28/11/2019 11:53

Probably absolutely fuck all. Because the people who should be outraged "won".
