Do people think Boris Johnson is a leader whose word they can trust?

OP posts:
Windygate · 27/11/2019 20:36

Nope. That said I don't think Corbin or Swinson are either. I'm a homeless voter

Lockshunkugel · 27/11/2019 20:38

No, but he’s preferable to an antisemite

IAmCatBed · 27/11/2019 20:38

Absolutely not!

MaMaMaMySharona · 27/11/2019 20:40

Of course not. No one in their right mind would trust that man.

Voting Tory in this election is basically saying you give no shits about:

  • ethnic minorities
  • women
  • LQBTQ+ community
  • NHS
  • poor people
  • homeless people
  • old people (WASPI women included)
  • the economy
  • young people’s futures

Probably more that I haven’t thought of off the top of my head.

tinytemper66 · 27/11/2019 20:41

No but then some people don't think that trust is important.

SandAndSea · 27/11/2019 20:42

I don't understand your voting system, but my answer is no. 100% no.

AdelaideK · 27/11/2019 20:44

No no and no again.

Like previous posters I just don't understand why people don't care.

ddl1 · 27/11/2019 20:44

No!

FadingStar · 27/11/2019 20:48

People seem to think he's a 'character'. 😖😖😖 The stupidity is mind boggling.

Elbeagle · 27/11/2019 20:48

No, but he’s preferable to an antisemite

He said that women in Burkas look like ‘letterboxes’
He said islamaphobia was ‘a natural reaction to islam’
He said ‘a bunch of black kids sets alarm bells ringing’
He called gay people ‘tank topped bum boys’
He set up a ‘tottymeter’ to rate female MP’s

OverByYer · 27/11/2019 20:49

No self serving buffoon

minniemoll · 27/11/2019 20:52

No, but he’s preferable to an antisemite

Isn't Boris anti-anyone who isn't a rich twat, and actually probably most of them too, but with special reference to pretty much all minorities?

TheSandman · 27/11/2019 20:52

Is this for real? Why is this question even being asked?

user6289264 · 27/11/2019 20:52

No, nope, never, nay.

EdvardMonsterMunch · 27/11/2019 20:52

Good lord no!
It's all a game to the likes of Johnson and his Etonian pals.

spacepyramid · 27/11/2019 20:52

No. He's the least trustworthy PM I can recall, I'd rather have Margaret Thatcher than Boris Johnson.

Petrichor11 · 27/11/2019 20:59

I trust him to constantly tell bare faced lies every time he opens his mouth

MunchMunch · 27/11/2019 21:02

His own wife/wives/people who he is supposed to love couldn't trust him so why would I expect him to be trustworthy and do things that are for the good of society and this country?

AdoptedBumpkin · 27/11/2019 21:04

Doesn't his entire career and romantic life prove not?

GirlsInGreen · 27/11/2019 21:05

I can't profess to be a huge fan of the tory party ever, despite that I have never been ashamed of a British PM before. The man is woefully unfit both for the job and just in terms of basic decency.

BertrandRussell · 27/11/2019 21:09

I blame HIGNFY

willstarttomorrow · 27/11/2019 21:12

God no. The fact that this he accepted as a liar, completely clueless and totally out of touch with the vast majority of the population reflects how voters have become to accept this as the norm in high profile polititicians. There are some amazing grass roots MPs out there but our voting system is all about power crazed individuals with little interest representing the masses. No wonder people feel their vote is worthless and just vote for as if it is the x factor.

bellinisurge · 27/11/2019 21:12

No

Snugglepumpkin · 27/11/2019 21:17

Absolutely not.

Unfortunately I can't find a party I can vote for, they are all appalling.

They should have a NONE OF THE ABOVE ARE FIT TO STAND box on the ballot papers & if the majority of voters select it, ban everyone currently standing for election from ever standing again.

We need to get rid of the toxic bunch we have on offer now.

I suspect that option would win a landslide victory but have no idea what would happen then.

MistyCloud · 27/11/2019 21:19

@Pumpkinpie1

The Conservatives have had enough chances now. They have failed to deliver Brexit, and BJ is a clown. They have been in power a decade, and austerity has done very little except hurt the poor.

So fuck it. No WAY do I trust him, OR the Conservatives! Nope.

I just can't bring myself to vote for Conservaives.

Who to vote for now though! Confused

Like a few pps have said, I am politically homeless too. Sad

@usedup

This is pointless. We all know how almost everybody here is going to vote. Although I don’t particularly trust Johnson, I do think it would be political suicide for him to not get Brexit past the next hurdle (note I didn’t say get it done), or to fuck with the NHS to anywhere near the extent most are fearing.

Do you really think most people will vote Conservative then?
