I take DS to swimming. I got the times wrong turned up for the wrong lesson. I decide to go back to the changing room to wait. I find it hard to breath in the pool area, 30 minutes is ok, an hour and I can feel my asthma begin to act up.

There is a dad there getting his daughters dressed (fine) he was in the pool and he's down to his underwear.

Another dad arrives with his son, him and my DS are in the same lesson.

Anyways dad of daughters decides to get dressed... he drops his pants and is stark naked in front of his daughters. He is also by the door so if another parent was coming in their child would have walked into his penis! And it wasn't less than a minute because he was drying himself as well 🤢...

There are cubicles. He could have used a towel as well.

Why would and adult choose to get naked in a dressing room at a swim lesson for children with strangers around.

AIBU to find it bizarre?

His bum was also hairy and unattractive 🤢.

If I was that man I would have put my girls in the cubicle whilst giving you a right old show. The squat and floss, the helicopter and maybe even the world's strongest penis (towel hung over erect member). He was quite restrained I think and kind that he only flashed you a hairy arse crack.

I would say you have a point in the unisex ones but fair game in single sex changing rooms to be naked.

You were in the wrong. Women should not go in mens changing rooms. Im surprised no one reported you. I have sons. I send 9yo in the mens and take 5yo in the women's or use unisex where possible.

The internet exists for a reason. I don't need to sit in a men's room for nefarious reasons.... it's too easily accessible, just look at the hairy bum image posted earlier. Google is a wonderful tool.

No...because we are all adults with children in the room. I wasn't expecting for one of them to go completely starkers! Besides there was nothing worth looking at!

Well, you’ve made multiple comments about how it would have been “appropriate “ and “considerate” to use a towel which are loaded terms, in this context. You’ve also used specific language to imply he’s doing it purposefully....as if a child could walk into his penis. Honestly!

My gym - like every other one I've belonged to in the Uk or Germany - has single sex changing rooms, no cubicles and the showers are open too
(I've never belonged to posh / expensive ones with a pool)

We are all naked getting changed and showering;
I've never seen anyone trying to hide under a towel

We very rarely see kids there, as there is only an occasional class for them
However, when they are there, we continue as normal, no coverups
So kids of either sex will see naked women. The parents aren't bothered at all.

Just to add I would find this odd even if I was in the women's dressing room.

Because I wouldn't go naked in front of anyones child boy or girl... because I don't believe it's my duty to enlighten other people's children about the varying forms of the human body. Man or woman I would still be wondering why they couldn't have put a towel around themselves, especially as this is a very specific infant/toddler swim lesson.

It would be interesting to see if the mothers who go into the pool with their kids also go starkers in a room full of people and their children. I highly doubt it.

But I guess we won't find out until the next Episode of human bare bums in dressing rooms!
