AIBU?

Am so relieved after reading the 'Who votes Conservative?" thread that no one I like is on it?

Was worried I'd see a name I knew and liked, being proud of voting Conservative.

But I seen no one!

The relief!!!

"I agree with you ssd and you've hit some nerve here - Not content to wanking over Johnson on their thread, they're over here furious at you having an opinion."

^This - totally agree

A somewhat immature perspective op.

You need help, ssd

It’s good to be involved politically but you’re becoming obsessed.

I dunno about obsessed, she thought he was called Boris Johnstone a few weeks ago.

So anyone who criticises the op on this is a Tory taking a break from wanking over Johnson Hmm

I think the whole thread is totally inappropriate and a personal attack. And I’m voting Lib Dem Hmm

Oh my, what a fine example of pointless goady shit stirring. I'd stay off the wine tonight if I were you.

What a dreadful example to set kids

Is MN a hot bed of impressionable children? I mean I know certain posters appear like they’re 14 but still I don’t think there’s too many to consider.

I have no idea if the op is a parent but the odd one or two posters on here are. If they tell their kids "don't talk to them, they are a[whatever] that's a pretty disgusting way to parent.

The thought that some people would rather have a labour anti-Semitic government in power I find concerning.

Why read it though? I don't and won't vote Tory, so it would be insane for me to read a "gather here if you vote Tory" thread.

Report
ssd · 26/11/2019 17:50

I didn't read it, I skimmed the names.

This thread has really riled some of you, hasn't it?

Oh well Grin

Why are they any more likely to do that than you silently judging and moving on? It’s a fairly common occurrence that people use MN for a place for thoughts they don’t verbalise IRL.

Glad to see the standard of political debate on MN is so high OP.

@ssd well you've personally made two posters vote Tory so they may want to thank you.

Report
ssd · 26/11/2019 17:58

OK, I'll put my big girl pants on and apologise to everyone here that I've offended. Sorry!

Still don't like the tories but live and let live, it would be a boring old world if we were all the same.

Rather think if that is truly the case, SSD will feel vindicated that her point is proven.

If anybody read a post like this on an anonymous forum and used it as a reason to vote a particular way, they’re not terribly bright are they? So it’s really just all hot air isn’t it?

I will vote Conservative but I don’t set out to actively dislike people who think differently to me (with the possible exception of Nigel Farage).
I disagreed with about 90% of what Tony Benn said but I respected him for saying it. I am also bloody glad his son went into politics!

Kanga83 · 26/11/2019 18:16

Grin I too skimmed it to see names/views. I'm also very glad so say I'm not a Labour voter either.
