to ask if you got pregnant from precum?

Did you ever get pregnant from precum?

Not ttc or worried I might be up the duff and want a crystal ball - just curious.

Not a perve thread - I don't have a penis beaker, never snap and fart and ceiling based artworks do not turn me into Professor Lupin howling at the full moon.

No, but I am a sex educator, and our material (from peer reviewed scientific journals) says that it contains sperm so it is possible to get pregnant. Not super probably, but definitely possible.

Confrontayshunme · 21/11/2019 13:45

Before anyone jumps down my throat, the fluid itself doesn't contain sperm cells, but men can release ejaculate without realising it around the same time and before he actually climaxes, so it is generally advised to still use a barrier method or hormonal birth control if not planning to conceive.

SquareAsABlock · 21/11/2019 13:49

Yes you can is the simplest answer. Or at least, you can get pregnant even if a man pulls out before 'the main event'.

No need to do all the waffle about previous threads. I know you're not a troll, but I dont understand how listening off previous (probably definitely) troll threads makes a question more genuine.

Brimful · 21/11/2019 13:51

Is there a reason why you've asked here, rather than Googling?

Andysbestadventure · 21/11/2019 14:04

Yes @Brimful because I wanted genuine answers and experiences from people who have. Not a simple google answer of "is it possible? Y/N".

And AIBU is the best place to post shamelessly for traffic 😘

I wasn't asking if you can or can't @SquareAsABlock. I know it is a resounding 'yes' that it can happen. My question was has anyone here been caught out by it.

Having a lighthearted (currently, but she is pushing my buttons) conversation with a friend currently and she is adamant it is all b.s., even the 'proof' on google and not possible.

What on earth is the difference? Yes it can happen because it has happened to women, why do you need specific examples from MN?

Andysbestadventure · 21/11/2019 14:27

Because that's oddly enough how human conversation and interaction work @SquareAsABlock... I was starting a conversation. If you don't want to join in or find the topic not to your liking then please, do move on Hmm

Shame that 'human interaction' hasn't worked between you and your... educationally deficient friend. Hope you can work out this conundrum between you. Perhaps someone on MN can bring their mate Hannah over to show you both little Ruben, who was convinced when no condom was available but Dave insisted that pulling out before ejaculating would be 'totally fine babes'.

Meirou90 · 21/11/2019 14:36

I did

Courtney555 · 21/11/2019 14:38

I personally don't know of anyone this has happened to in real life.

The internet states absolutely possible. Just like it's absolutely possible to naturally conceive quads, but I have never encountered this.

I'd be interested to know the % of women who have fallen pregnant this way. I assume it's very very low.

Ferretyone · 21/11/2019 14:45

@Andysbestadventure

How many of us would know/remember?

Andysbestadventure · 21/11/2019 14:46

Have you been at the gin @SquareAsABlock? Or should I google that too?

OP posts:
Brimful · 21/11/2019 14:50

"What on earth is the difference? Yes it can happen because it has happened to women, why do you need specific examples from MN?*

This.

Also, you know just because someone says something on the internet doesn't mean it's true?

The fact it's possible is easy found via Google, I think it's just very odd/strange that you want personal stories. Confused

FrankieDoyle · 21/11/2019 15:32

How would you know?

namynom · 21/11/2019 15:35

Have no idea why everyone's jumping on OP but I also don't know anyone this has happened to in real life. Would definitely be interesting to hear how many people this happens to!

ComtesseDeSpair · 21/11/2019 15:38

Any time you have sex there’s a possibility of pregnancy. Sometimes it’s many more times likely than others, but the possibility is always there. As I understand it from medical friends, it’s very unlikely that you can become pregnant from precum, unless your partner has already ejaculated very recently and not urinated in between (which clears everything out) but there’s still a small probability.

Andysbestadventure · 21/11/2019 17:05

Well when a man loves a woman @FrankieDoyle and they have a special cuddle, but they use the pull-out method... 🙄

ChocolateRaisin · 21/11/2019 17:10

I did. We were TTC and I got a smiley face on my ovulation stick just before I was about to go away for the weekend. DH and I attempted a v quick quickie before I left but the pressure was too much and he didn’t finish. Less than 2 weeks later I had a positive pregnancy test. We hadn’t had sex for over a week beforehand and I definitely didn’t cheat on him Grin

FrankieDoyle · 21/11/2019 20:13

@Andysbestadventure
I was referring to how would you know that that is what made you pregnant.

Pussinboots25 · 21/11/2019 20:21

I can’t get pregnant from lots of cum never mind pre cum. Lol

nicelyneurotic · 21/11/2019 20:22

Yes, twice. Sorry.

carolina21 · 21/11/2019 21:06

Pull out method? How old are you ? To think that's safe ????

Passthecherrycoke · 21/11/2019 21:08

I agree with frankie. How would you know what made you pregnant? The pull out method doesn’t work either so you could’ve got pregnant from that...

ChaosFromTheTopDown · 21/11/2019 21:13

I did.
