to ask if you got pregnant from precum?

Did you ever get pregnant from precum?

Not ttc or worried I might be up the duff and want a crystal ball - just curious.

Not a perve thread - I don't have a penis beaker, never snap and fart and ceiling based artworks do not turn me into Professor Lupin howling at the full moon.

How would you know what made you pregnant? The pull out method doesn’t work either so you could’ve got pregnant from that...

Presumably the pull out/withdrawal method doesn't work precisely because you can get pregnant from pre-cum?

So, the OP's question could be rephrased as asking if anyone ever got pregnant while practising the withdrawal method!

Justajot · 21/11/2019 21:50

I think it's a reasonable question. Sex ed at school gave the impression that you could get pregnant incredibly easily. When you actually TTC, I think most couples find it takes time and effort. I haven't worked out how much of that difference is due to being very fertile as teenagers or just sex ed trying to scare the bejeezus out of you because the consequences of unplanned pregnancy are significant, however unlikely.

Journo, must be a slow news day

Andysbestadventure · 21/11/2019 23:33

Oh dear god, has everyone been at the fucking sherry already...

For fucks sake, the irony of some of the women replying to this needing a sex education lesson.

How would you know if it was precum? Jesus fuck. Because if you get pregnant and he didn't blow his load inside you then it was the precum that got you pregnant.

Christ on a fucking bike.

And if I'm a journo I've got a flippin' long posting history just to ask this haven't I 🙄

Christ OP, I'd suggest you have a sherry and calm the fuck down Confused

I haven’t heard of it happening IRL.

BelgianWhistles · 22/11/2019 00:17

I did

Re: the sex ed thing - older teenagers are incredibly fertile. I also suspect that younger men are less likely to be able to pull out in time.

Loopyloopy · 22/11/2019 00:21

The pull out method is actually a halfway effective birth control method if done properly. Many guys can't get it right every time, however.

FrankieDoyle · 22/11/2019 08:56

Wow calm down. Why so angry? Confused

Just wanted clarification and instead I got a sarcastic rude reply.

namynom · 22/11/2019 09:09

The withdrawal method is very effective if done properly and done alongside tracking your cycles. It's worked for me for over ten years with absolutely zero scares as my husband does it reliably and I also know when I'm ovulating. I know other people who've been doing this for years with no problems.

Obviously it doesn't work whatsoever if the man isn't able or willing to pull out every time and therefore is a TERRIBLE method of contraception for young people or teenagers. That doesn't mean you must be a teenager if you think the withdrawal method works, it can work very well for some people. Obviously there's a risk involved so you have to also make sure you're ready for whatever accidents may come along if you're using this.

Brimful · 22/11/2019 09:38

That's a lot of defensiveness, OP.

You ok hun? Confused
