Ladies, help me. I'm mid 40s and the bastard chins hairs keep on coming. I keep plucking them out, but am I going to have a beard by the time I'm 50? Nasty course black thick hairs. Do I need to go and see my GP? ARGH!?!?!

Got my spring epilator a couple of days ago and worked well but not picking up the regrowth very well

Get a laser course from a clinic before they turn to white hairs and you can't treat them with ipl. It'll be the best money you'll have spent.

I first had electrolysis in my early 30s on some very course stubborn black hairs made worse from plucking. Did a course and they got lighter and lighter and for many years were gone.

Now late 40s back with a vengeance and back to electrolysis and they are fading but not as fast. They get softer and softer it is the only
Permanent treatment I have
Found that works. I get 15 mins so not cheap but affordable. The trick is to go regularly as most effective at a certain stage of growth.

I am 30 and I get them. I have the same 4 hairs that sprout every few weeks. I stroke my chin often to see when they are long enough to pluck! I used to make fun of my mum for this and now we compare our "stay eyebrows"

Pinkbonbon · 01/12/2019 01:05

I'm 31 and have had 3 or 4 crop up every few days for a few years now.

You think they are white but actually when you pluck them they seem black at the base so I wonder if laser treatment might work. If I get more in time then that will be my plan.

If they are black hairs get a home laser before they turn white. Very effective, private and works out more cost efficient than a salon.
Phillips do a good one.

My people!

I'm another one with the holy trinity of bum fluff, tache and pig bristles. So attractive. I find the spring epilator best to go "all over" and get rid of everything (especially the peach fuzz) and use tweezers for spot checks on the bristles. I've lost both of them right now though, and resorted to carefully shaving the bristly ones tonight Confused

I get them too, early 30s. Have been getting them for years. What the frick causes them?! At first it was 1 or 2 but in the last year or so I've been getting a few more. I hate them :(

eaglejulesk · 01/12/2019 04:16

Wow - I thought it was just me who had this problem!!

Betsy86 · 01/12/2019 04:37

Me too my chins a mess of hair, bumps, scars, fluff :(

PenelopeFlintstone · 01/12/2019 04:43

If you work in an office then a small-ish bulldog clip makes for a handy emergency replacement for tweezers. You can thank me later...
Genius!!

I have similar. Went to GP had lots of tests revealed nothing so doc concluded skin more sensitive to testosterone. Got prescription for Vaniqa. 3 months later huge difference. He also said that risks of skin damage with laser treatment so suggested we try this first.
