Reading the thread where the OP ate a 200g bar of chocolate and I was clutching my pearls shocked at the amount of weirdos Mnetters who keep their chocolate in the FRIDGE!!! It's teeth breakingly hard to bite and doesn't melt into deliciousness as easily. Why the fridge???!!!!!!!

I love milk chocolate at room temperature. My husband loves dark chocolate from the fridge. I love him dearly but when it comes down to chocolate I think he’s fucked in the head!

TiceCream · 18/11/2019 01:11

I like it crunchy. Especially things like Twirl and Ripple with lots of crunchy layers!

ChocoholicsAsylum · 18/11/2019 01:38

OP: YANBU!!! Really dont like chocolate in the fridge! Someone said it tastes of cold nothing... that is so spot on! Plus its really hard... all these terminator teeth mumsnetters!

You should have put a poll lol.

ThighThighOfthigh · 18/11/2019 02:21

Ewwww fridge chocolate, what is wrong with you people? Gross.

I do like the idea a pp had of microwaving it and eating with a spoon. Then licking the bowl.

ThighThighOfthigh · 18/11/2019 02:26

I'd like to add an important point.

Galaxy is minging.

RolytheRhino · 18/11/2019 06:49

Galaxy is minging.

Shock

Galaxy is 1000 times better than Cadbury's. I'd say it's the best of the cheapy chocolate.

NonUrinatInVentum · 18/11/2019 07:05

I eat dark chocolate 90% Lindt is my go to. If I had to choose between Cadbury and Galaxy it would be Galaxy all the way. Kraft have destroyed Cadbury chocolate with the sickly sweet nastiness.

But ROOM TEMPERATURE Galaxy because ... CLAG Grin

NonUrinatInVentum · 18/11/2019 07:06

@ChocoholicsAsylum I didn't know how Blush

OP posts:
ShivD · 18/11/2019 07:34

It totally depends on the chocolate. E.g Cadbury’s buttons have to be cold, Mint aero has to be room temp.

ThighThighOfthigh · 18/11/2019 10:11

OP oh gag, dark chocolate and Galaxy. You're wrong in the head. I'd feel bad for you but I'm too busy vomming.

formerbabe · 18/11/2019 10:14

Anyone who understands food knows chocolate doesn't belong in the fridge.

This is an ongoing argument in our house.

ThighThighOfthigh · 18/11/2019 10:18

You need to expel various people from your house hth

vampirethriller · 18/11/2019 10:39

Fridge or freezer here. There's nothing as nice as a frozen star bar.

NonUrinatInVentum · 18/11/2019 13:07

OMG @vampirethriller how much are your dental bills!!! Starbars are pure clag at room temperature, fillings are lost, crowns ripped out. It's a dangerous food without making it harder than concrete.

IwantToDatePicard · 18/11/2019 13:28

I am a chocolate in the fridge gal as well Smile

babycatcher411 · 18/11/2019 13:34

Ooo yeah chocolate from the freezer is the best. Fridge is acceptable and room temperature is only acceptable when you’ve bought it from the service station to eat then and there.

The danger with freezer chocolate is it’s so much easier to a SA t very large quantities

babycatcher411 · 18/11/2019 13:35

*much easier to eat very large quantities

JuneFromBethesda · 18/11/2019 13:38

I concur - excellent summary Grin

astralweaks · 18/11/2019 13:41

Chocolate not kept in the fridge is not as nice. Simple!

DieSchottin93 · 18/11/2019 16:21

Fridge chocolate is the best chocolate. YABVU. It's so much better with a bit of bite to it instead of all soft and sticking to your teeth.

ActualHornist · 18/11/2019 16:36

I accept the weirdness Grin

OnTheFenceWithMostViews · 18/11/2019 16:37

I'll eat it whichever way it comes. Haha. But prefer out of fridge.

motherheroic · 18/11/2019 16:42

Love it. Especially if it's fruit and nut.

EcoEve83 · 18/11/2019 16:42

I love BOTH. Now that's controversial.

TryingToBeBold · 18/11/2019 21:35

Actually @EcoEve83.. I see your point.
Lindor balls. Out the fridge. So yea mostlyin the fridge for me.. but a few exceptions.
