Just seen, it Boris walking through an office and making a cup of tea while exchanging jolly convos with workers.

I have never ever seen such a pile of complete WANK in my life! And at 58, I've seen many political ads...

Honestly, do they think people are stupid or are they trying to throw the election?

OP posts:
SureTry · 13/11/2019 15:39

I just watched it, the way he made that cup of tea was atrocious in itself 😆

TheSilveryPussycat · 13/11/2019 16:46

Rufus, the Apprentice candidates have made adverts twice so far.

As usual there was a bit of dressing up in cheap-looking animal costumes. Maybe Boris will do a follow up dressed up similarly.

But what costume would he choose, I wonder?

TheSilveryPussycat · 13/11/2019 16:47

*twice - might be once.

yolofish · 13/11/2019 17:24

I'm convinced now that the Tories dont want to win - dump their shit on the next incumbents and sneer from the sidelines while they regroup themselves.

OP posts:
noblegiraffe · 13/11/2019 17:36

Oh Boris definitely wants to win. He just keeps hitting hurdles like his inability to act like a human being, his total lack of competence, and today, the people of Yorkshire.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 13/11/2019 17:58

The mind boggles

yes noble very very true...

Alltheprettyseahorses · 13/11/2019 18:26

It was just toe-curlingly batshit. So many questions! Who passed it? Who thought it was a good idea? Why did he agree? But then the Tory party has no judgement whatsoever; letting Johnson become leader is the mouldy cherry on that particular pile of shite.

Boris definitely wants to win - he might but after that shambles can the same be said for his team?

mummymeister · 13/11/2019 18:36

I wont watch it on principle. I dont watch any ppb because they are all utter shite. and the news at the moment - the labour party did this, the tory party did that, the liberals did the other. I just dont give a shiny shit. I wish we had had a week of campaigning then an election. this is like a slow painful tooth extraction. no one changes their mind. those that are going to vote will vote. those that wont, wont. the party you vote for is much more entrenched than a "ohh look comrade corbachev is going to be 100 gazillion into the NHS, I had better vote for him" Ooh boris cant make a cup of tea - no vote for him then.

call an election, let us vote straightaway and stop all this bloody messing about, time wasting shite. Meanwhile businesses are on hold waiting for the will it/wont it brexit.

BertrandRussell · 13/11/2019 18:38

I’m curious. Do Tory supporters genuinely think it was good? Not even a passing “fuck me, what is he doing?” thought? I always assumed that most normal Tories would have to hold their noses and vote despite him. Just like I’m going to have to do with Labour.

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 13/11/2019 18:51

I’m a Tory supporter and yes, I did think, ‘fuck me, what is he doing?’ It really was cringe.
I’ll vote for him though because I voted brexit & he’s the only one who’ll deliver the referendum result.

longwayoff · 13/11/2019 19:05

Miss Symonds is a media and PR expert apparently, maybe he's taking her advice? Which makes most of us wrong, I supposeHmm. Reminded me of the Kinnock on the beach ad, but I think this has topped it.

Livelovebehappy · 13/11/2019 19:12

Come on..... he could have dressed up as Santa and visited the office complete with elves and will still beat Corbyn, who is making an ass of himself every time he steps out of his front door.

BertrandRussell · 13/11/2019 19:19

“ Corbyn, who is making an ass of himself every time he steps out of his front door.”

Is he?

Alsohuman · 13/11/2019 19:41

Corbyn, who is making an ass of himself every time he steps out of his front door

There must be a special news source reporting this because none of the ones I see or watch have reported it. Including the Tory BBC.

ForalltheSaints · 13/11/2019 19:47

Was it not designed to be attention seeking so people would talk about it? I gave the worst Prime Minister of all time a miss when I heard about it though.

CendrillonSings · 13/11/2019 20:00

Have a look at the car crash Corbyn got into on C4 when asked to give details about his support for another Scottish referendum...

Justanotherlurker · 13/11/2019 20:06

Including the Tory BBC.

Oh dear...

I think you lost the faux innocence at this point, if you want to pin the blame on the BBC being pro Government you can thank Labour for that, I know you don't count Blair as true labour, but it has always been a government mouthpiece, it was Labour who really put on the thumb screws though.

Thats before we get into the fact every batshit brexiteer thinks the BBC are remainer elite.

Maybe you should read around the edges and not just stick to daily mail the canary.

Alsohuman · 13/11/2019 20:17

Maybe you should read around the edges and not just stick to daily mail the canary.

The Daily Heil that I used to present to my dad with tongs? There was no faux innocence in my post. I haven’t noticed any coverage of any leader other than Johnson being heckled, told to “get out to of my town”, pretending no press are present when they’re actually filming them ... it just goes on and on.

ImGoingToBangYourHeadsTogether · 13/11/2019 20:18

He's very much into his photo opportunities isn't he? Always takes the time and trouble to make himself look like a local councillor.
I wasn't impressed by his photos of using a mop in flooded Matlock.

Justanotherlurker · 13/11/2019 20:35

Shifting the goalposts to make a very specific point about heckling doesn't distract from my overall point when you made this comment:

Including the Tory BBC.

Stop making tired memes and stop reading the Canary.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 13/11/2019 20:41

Have a look at the car crash Corbyn got into on C4 when asked to give details about his support for another Scottish referendum...

I watched the news earlier I thought it was Ch 4. He sounded sensible and concise to me.

No Scottish referendum for the first few years of a Labour government as there are more important things to concentrate on, such as poverty.

I'm not a huge fan of Corbyn but he makes Johnson look like an idiot.

Oh wait....

CendrillonSings · 13/11/2019 20:43

Then you’re trying very hard not to notice. Here’s today’s reporting by Sarah Smith, Scotland Editor for BBC News:

mobile.twitter.com/BBCsarahsmith/status/1194567640062341120

Protestor in Glasgow just shouted at Jeremy Corbyn “who is going to be the first terrorist invited into No 10 if you are PM?”

Justanotherlurker · 13/11/2019 20:55

I'm not a huge fan of Corbyn but he makes Johnson look like an idiot.

They are both idiots, but it isn't Boris with a personality cult.

The economically illiterate and thinking everything is a simple black and white situation that can be made in comments such as helping the poor is why labour and politics in general has gone to shit.

We do get the government we deserve, we also get the opposition we deserve as well. When you get the opposition offering simplistic black and white solutions then it highlights the intelligence of the supporters.

Alsohuman · 13/11/2019 21:06

@Justanotherlurker, insulting the intelligence of people who don’t agree with you isn’t a convincing argument.

So I haven’t seen the one news item you’re able to provide as evidence @CendrillonSings, whereas the examples to support my view go well into double figures over a period of weeks. And you wonder why I’m not convinced.
