Just seen, it Boris walking through an office and making a cup of tea while exchanging jolly convos with workers.

I have never ever seen such a pile of complete WANK in my life! And at 58, I've seen many political ads...

Honestly, do they think people are stupid or are they trying to throw the election?

You could possibly add some worries about “being woke” to include both the Lib Dems and the Greens to call bingo?

Thats an excellent idea!

NotStayingIn · 12/11/2019 23:33

It's just hilarious. Like a scene out of The Thick of It. For your viewing pleasure:

NotStayingIn · 12/11/2019 23:34

Oeps sorry my page hadn't updated, though we were still on page 1!

Dusty01 · 12/11/2019 23:53

From the moment he started talking about Corbyn I just couldn't take my eyes off the tea he was making. It was so much more fascinating looking at the tea.

And then he stood in the office getting all passionate about something. I don't know what it was though. Because he was so passionate and the mug was so full of tea. He was waving his arms about and the tea was just in the frame of the camera and looked as though it was about to splosh all over him and I was worried about his suit. So I missed everything that he said.

Dusty01 · 12/11/2019 23:56

What I came away with from watching that is that I now feel thirsty for a cup of tea.

AlexaShutUp · 13/11/2019 00:24

I'm really struggling to get past the fact that he left the teabag in the cup.ConfusedHmm

I thought the whole thing was crap from start to finish, but I'm guessing that I'm not in their target audience. They've obviously made a calculated decision to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Sadly, I think it might work for them.

ArseDarkly · 13/11/2019 00:25

Just watched it again without my hands in front of my face - it's SO tacky and idiotic Shock

Can't believe he repeated that terrible 'oven ready, whack it in microwave' stuff, it was totally embarrassing the first time. I'm going to need physiotherapy from cringing so hard

noblegiraffe · 13/11/2019 00:33

If it was oven-ready, Boris, why did you pull it instead of letting parliament vote it through? It had already passed second reading and yet you called a general election rather than let it be voted on again.

WhoEatsPopTarts · 13/11/2019 00:40

Blimey, watching that could stop diarrhoea.

CendrillonSings · 13/11/2019 00:40

Because Parliament would have wrecked it with amendments, obviously. Hence the election to get a majority to pass the deal.

noblegiraffe · 13/11/2019 00:51

Because Parliament would have wrecked it with amendments

So not oven-ready then. Actually a bit shit.

And in fact something he himself strongly argued against.

Patroclus · 13/11/2019 00:52

lol at the tories on here suddenly developing self awareness. Hold onto it for dear life please.

Patroclus · 13/11/2019 00:55

there is fuck all nuance in it justanotherlurker, because there never was any chance of it happenning. It was yet another lie, you know, like everything that exits his mouth.

TheSilveryPussycat · 13/11/2019 01:12

I was reminded of the cringy results when Apprentice cadidates try to make adverts.

Tillygetsit · 13/11/2019 01:15

I cringed. Then I laughed and cringed some more.

AutumnCrow · 13/11/2019 01:18

I got as far as the dog shit and thought, I wonder if he gets a flunky to pick it up? And then I was lost in a reverie involving Prince Charles's toothpaste squeezer, and Lady Penelope's chauffeur Parker saying 'Yes, milady'.

Nat6999 · 13/11/2019 01:30

Considering the latest opinion polls only put Conservatives at 6 points ahead now & Labour creeping up, With a month to go Boris could be out on his arse by Friday 13th with any luck.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 13/11/2019 07:35

*was reminded of the cringy results when Apprentice cadidates try to make adverts

Oh Jesus...have they done the adverts yet?

You dont think this could have been the winning one do you?

WaterSheep · 13/11/2019 07:59

Just watched it, and all I took away from it was

  • There were a few walls / doors that could really have used some decoration, perhaps a purple or green poster.
  • That kitchen was very unrealistic. Where's the sink full of dirty cups, and why wasn't the fridge crammed full of unidentifiable tubs of food, and sandwiches with people's name in permanent marker.
  • How did the tea stay in the cup with all that gesturing and arm waving.

they ahve nto voted in a Labour Government since 2005.

Why do people keep banging on about this?

Before the 2010 election I could have pointed out that the Tories hadn't won an election since 1992, which is actually a slightly longer period of time.

CendrillonSings · 13/11/2019 11:12

Actually no Labour leader apart from Tony Blair has won an election since Harold Wilson in 1974 - 45 years ago.

And as any devoted member of the Corbyn cult will tell you, Tony Blair was a Tory... Grin

Alsohuman · 13/11/2019 13:51

Tony Blair was a Tory

So he’d have got your vote, then?

CendrillonSings · 13/11/2019 13:56

So he’d have got your vote, then?

He got the votes of many Tories because he wasn’t a far-left extremist, unlike Corbyn. Tony Blair in his prime could probably defeat Boris quite easily!

maddening · 13/11/2019 14:14

Of course he knows how to make tea, he makes it for the billionaires in whose pockets he is while he plots to sell the uk via brexit I order to line their pockets, and in turn his own, farage's and jrm.

ArseDarkly · 13/11/2019 14:42

Blair was a highly presentable, thatcherite megalomaniac who forced the uk into a catastrophic war. So, no. Not at all like Corbyn, thank god.
