Doesn't matter if you think he's a cock, but he'll be remembered for a very long time. You've got to admire his tenacity.

OP posts:

It'll be Sir Nigel in January.

Tvstar · 12/11/2019 09:24

Where's that money going then? To the two shareholders?
Firstly do you understand what 'deposit' means? The £500deposit of which the Brexit party paid £400, goes to the returning officer, and they keep it. That is what s deposit is. You don't get it back!

PhilSwagielka · 12/11/2019 09:37

he's an opportunist cockroach. He never goes away. And yet loads of people believe him and think he's somehow a man of the people because he drinks pints. I also hate the fact that Trump has essentially empowered him by making him think he has more influence than he really does.

ShatnersWig · 12/11/2019 10:18

Tvstar Yes, which the candidates pay in the expectation of standing, having agreed to stand on behalf of the limited company. Head of limited company decides, without consulting said candidates, that he doesn't want them to stand now. An honourable man, with all his private wealth, and presumably all the money from people who paid a subscription (because they aren't members as they would be in a political party), might have thought it fair and decent, to refund those people who are £500 down and can't even stand as they wished.

Tvstar · 12/11/2019 10:31

They only pais £100 accord G to the guy being interviewed meaning the BP must have paid most. Also he said he wasn't interested in the l£100 which would imply he has been promised it back

doubleshotespresso · 12/11/2019 10:33

OP if you insist on genius as a best description ( I have so many others for you seriously), I am assuming by genius you mean in the same context as Hitler being a genius?

StoneofDestiny · 12/11/2019 23:15

Idiots listen to Farage. He gets his salary from Europe, yet despises it! He has his fortune stashed away in European bank accounts! He has a job lined up in the USA that he intends to take up if we leave the EU.
So what is his real interest in Britain's future? He runs no risk either way.

GunpowderGelatine · 12/11/2019 23:18

Doesn't matter if you think he's a cock, but he'll be remembered for a very long time. You've got to admire his tenacit

So will Hitler. Not a man I admire. Much like Farage really

Mishfit0819 · 12/11/2019 23:22

Unless you mean because he secretly doesn't want Brexit, and created the Brexit party to split voters between them and tories, meaning they don't get a majority... Then no.

WagtailRobin · 12/11/2019 23:24

Xenophobic, racist, fascist... Not quite sure how "political genius" comes to your mind!

lljkk · 12/11/2019 23:25

Gobshite, about sums up NF for me.

Tvstar · 12/11/2019 23:57

, how is his xenophobic when he was married to a German his children are half German. He has spent 25 years karma literally half is life trying to get the UK out of the EU. He could have earned lot more money by working in the city than in politics

Tillygetsit · 13/11/2019 04:11

I am a pacifist but I would kick the racist hypocritical arsebiscuit right in his gammony face. Bleats on about an organisation which he has made thousands from? More thick and ghastly than Boris and that's saying something 🤬

OVienna · 13/11/2019 06:37

Exactly what @StoneofDestiny said.

Plus: a blight on the UK.

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 13/11/2019 09:13

I would kick the racist hypocritical arsebiscuit right in his gammony face

Ahhh.....gentle words from the lovely tolerant left.

Findumdum1 · 13/11/2019 09:16

LOL you didn't actually expect this to work did you? Are you his intern 😁.

I find him repulsive, both in terms of personality and looks.

PhilSwagielka · 13/11/2019 09:31

Why the hell should I have to tolerate someone like Farage? The guy used to brag that his initials were the same as the National Front, he's mates with Viktor Orban, but apparently I'm supposed to trust him because he's not Corbyn or something. Do people on the left have to tolerate everyone? Does that include neo-Nazis? I mean, if some Generation Identity member tells me I belong in a gas chamber, am I just supposed to smile and nod?

Incidentally, Farage's campaign editor, Raheem Kassam, ganged up on me with a load of alt-right twats on Twitter when I complained about use of the word 'mong'. One of them told me I'd be happier if I lost weight. The irony is that at my very lowest, I was thin.

ShatnersWig · 13/11/2019 09:45

Tvstar What has that video got to do with Farage?

ShatnersWig · 13/11/2019 09:49

Tvstar And the person in the video is doing exactly what Farage himself did. Farage said had the result was 52/48 in favour of Remain he wouldn't accept it and he would fight for a second referendum. So, if he wouldn't accept the result, why should she? You can't condemn her for behaving the same way as your hero!

JacksonPillock · 13/11/2019 10:01

Imagine thinking that being married to a foreigner precludes you from being xenophobic.

PhilSwagielka · 13/11/2019 10:46

Farage said he'd pick up a rifle if Remain won, FYI.

Tanith · 13/11/2019 13:16

“ Firstly do you understand what 'deposit' means? The £500deposit of which the Brexit party paid £400, goes to the returning officer, and they keep it.”

That supposes the money was paid to the returning officer in the first place.

ShatnersWig · 13/11/2019 17:04

Just seen this on Twitter from a "branch" of the Brexit Party following Nigel's manoeuvres...

"We are taking legal advice on the matter so cannot comment too much at this stage. What we will say however is there are many across the UK who have invested in the Brexit Party PLC and demands answers and refunds. Fast."

ShatnersWig · 13/11/2019 19:47

And now this...

"Nigel Farage is to repay the £100 to his 317 Brexit Party candidates. Many have moved, upended their lives and resigned from other posts. At least one PPC lost a council job due to conflict of interest.

But £100 cheque is coming their way"
